$1225 is reasonable, IMO. And I get why you'd shy away from Z1 for customer service, although their parts seem legit and well designed.

Congrats all around on your mods, ctng37.

Thank you! I think I'm just about done with this car visually. Now to enjoy cruising around town and taking her to autocross and eventually the track.

Your car is very nice as well! Very clean and simple in the best way possible; staying true to the original design, but with some personal touches. I actually got my Lathe Werks teardrop from your review, but in aluminum bc I prefer the OEM weight. Makes the driving experience that much more enjoyable.

Really? Wow. Made my day.

Did you ever install a STS and the RJM assembly to go along with that? It really elevates the Nissan/Infiniti 6MT to about as good a driving experience as you can get.

I have not actually. I think I'm one of the weird ones that don't mind and sorta kinda like the OEM shifter and pedal lol. But maybe it's bc I learned how to drive stick on this car, plus this being the only manual car I've lived with so far.

I won't lie, an STS and RJM combo has crossed my mind multiple times when thinking about new things to try and experience. I'll likely bite the bullet at some point because of all the really good things I hear about it.

You seem like a DIY kind of guy, and the pedal assembly install is easy if you can fit your body in the footwell.

The STS install helps to have a lift, but if you're brave enough to crawl under on jack stands, more power to you. Removing and reinstalling the center console is a PITA, but like any interior work it's all doable.

The cost for each is extremely inexpensive considering what you did with your brakes. And I guarantee both will give you the "Why didn't I do this sooner?" moment.

I'm still on the OEM CSC and hopefully don't have to do the clutch soon (a lightweight flywheel is also something I wanna try, but I probably won't DIY that lol), and the RJM pedal is supposed to help prevent the CSC from failing. That alone is a pretty good benefit, and something I could DIY.

Though rarely, I occasionally have my hand slip when shifting. So if I run an extension to raise the shift ****, I'll definitely want a STS. I saw the idea from 3rdPedalMedia, and it seems to be a pretty nice mod. I'll have to put some more thought into it next time I'm cruising around.

Maybe 10 years ago now, after installing a STS in my car, I was bothered by the shift **** being lowered into the boot too much. So I had the guy at LatheWerks cut me a custom stand-off to raise the **** back up to OEM position. It worked out perfectly. If he's still in business, that's an option for you.

Bought a 2010 Camaro SS 6spd to tinker with on Black Friday so the Infiniti has been put to the side. I did have to replace the battery the other day as it was on it's last leg so that's "what I did to my sedan".

Never been a fan of the 5th gen Camaro unless it was a 1LE or ZL1 but the right deal came up that I couldn't pass up. 74k miles, original owner, mechanically perfect but the paint needs some love (never been polished before). So far I really enjoy the car, it's a different experience from the G but the V8 puts a huge grin on my face that I can't explain. On top of that, the TR6060 transmission blows the Infiniti's 6speed out of the water. Going to enjoy dialing it in and using it whenever I can.

Most importantly my kids love the Infiniti BUT the Camaro brings out a new type of excitement. Kindergarten and day care pickup have never been more fun. Only downside is the whole family can't use it as the Camaro is a 4 seater.

Long term plans? Sell both and get into a 1LE or ZL1, SS sedan, and then eventually a Blackwing as I had originally planned. It will be hard to part ways with the Infiniti as it's been a practical, reliable, and fun sedan - the best sedan experience for the money. Looking forward to the Q60 reveal but not sure if Nissan can "get it right" with this car.

Huh? Are they "bringing it back?"

Congrats and good luck on the Camaro.

Thanks!

It's been reported it's coming back as a 2027 model with a manual transmission - I can get behind that as long as it looks good and has a good balance of technology and physical buttons etc.

This happened....

Purchased a Nismo Z H-Pipe and Mid-pipe with only 4-5k miles on it from Eugene at EAC. Tried to find someone here in San Diego to do the install and marriage to the existing Tanabe setup, but two of my goto shops kindly declined. Decided to change mufflers and go 2.5" tubing from the resonators to a set of Sebring Tuning mufflers that James (Owner) sold to me for a great price. He then turned me onto his exhaust guy at Cypress Muffler in LA and I spent yesterday getting the work done. Many customizations were required to make this setup look OEM, but the end result is difficult to describe. Not only is the car far more responsive, but the gas mileage even improved. The sound is intoxicating.

I listed my old Vibrant modified mid-pipe and Tanabe axleback today on FB marketplace and already sold it to a local member that is likely in the process of installing int now on his 2009 sedan.

Tomorrow is the tune with Eugene.

That's a lot of things all at once. Customized exhaust and a tune... awesome. Those Sebring cans and tips are gorgeous.

Q50 sedan, not the Q60. I'm also keeping my eye on it, may finally get me to move on from the G and finally go back to stickshift after 20 years.
