With black mirrors and handles. To do, or not todo?

I’d do the black side mirrors (nice match to the window trim), but not the handles. Starts to look too much like a Panda or Stormtrooper, ya know?

My duckfeet wheels have been in storage for almost 10 years now. They’re def an improvement to the OEM 17s and are also a pretty unique design. But I don’t miss em. Glad I snagged a set of coupe OEM 19s when they were cheap and abundant, they look right at home on the sedan imo

Agree. Too much contrast when the handles are black and floating on the white doors. The trim and mirrors in black work because they disappear into a section of the car (windows).

Possibly also just that they are SO much better looking than the oem 17” rim designs. TBH, the oem 17” rims are some of the, how do I say this nicely, blandest designs I’ve ever seen. Shame on Infiniti for those - and there are SO many of them on the road…
I think the OEM 17s look utilitarian. Not bad, but they definitely do not stand out in any way. I feel that the 17s are also too small for the car, and if you lower with them, the wheels look like they are carrying too much weight.

I think if they were 18s and a mix of darker paint on the inside with brushed aluminum surfaces (like the Q50 sport wheels), they would look alot better.

Aside from nostalgia, the RWD staggered Duckfeet take on an entirely different personality lowered and spaced. Like the unassuming handsome skinny kid that spent the summer in the gym.

Impossible to find 19" OEM G37 Sport wheels without curb rash for under 2-3K per set. Roughly as rare as a 6MT sedan with low miles and no mods.

I like the way you think. Will try the mirrors first and keep the handles in reserve if we get bored.

Agreed that the coupe 19s look perfect on the sedan.

I just picked up an oem spoiler off of Facebook marketplace, so will be ditching the Stillen. These are hard to find for sure.

FB Marketplace is a gold mine, but it often feels like the wild west. I inquired a couple of times about OEM wheels and Nismo exhaust components and both sellers thanked me for introducing myself and composing complete sentences.

Only the front 2 of those rubber mounts are used though. Could have just swapped the other 2 remaining mounts in their place and saved some cash.

The other 3 were dry rotted, so it wasn't an issue replacing all 4 ($12).

Hey everyone, long time no talk. Been busy enjoying the G, but finally got around to throwing on the Nardi and Z1 quick release I've had sitting around. I do have the steering wheel control bracket, but decided against using it for now because I really like the way it looks without it. May change my mind in the future, but for now I need to get an adapter to run this GCorp horn button, it works great in a MOMO but the centerbore of a Nardi is just slightly too large to fit properly...

The parts look nice. Custom OEM parts?

Thanks! The alternator is from DC Power Engineering, but the others are OEM... I even re-created the label on the power steering pump to reapply after I powder coated the bracket.

Would love to see what they look like installed. I like the idea of powder coating a few brackets to compliment the color of the car (gold/bronze/copper match my color scheme).

It will be a while (still waiting for a drop off date from the shop, and the overall project is quite large)... but there will be pictures! And there will be lots of powder coating (minimal gold though).

The new parts will look amazing... Considering this is what my PS pump looks like now.

Another front axel cooked.... Going to finally do the longer axel fix for the lowered awd G. Thought I'd get the m37x axels, but after some more research, the 2015 Q50 awd axels are a better solution for my ride height. Hopefully this is the last time I have to do this... this is number 6 in 11 years... Doing the install in Spring along with the new coilovers and wheels.
