The other thing is that a pulley by nature doesn't have a very long moment-arm - so even a heavy one (with damping) would not take that much horsepower once spinning. Longer moment-arm stuff like the flywheel - and more importantly, the wheels themselves - will affect HP loss and engine spool time much more.

On the other hand, it's a shiny, so folks will still buy it.

Got some FI HFCs installed, So I have an eBay Y
-pipe OEM sedan midpipe to HKS mufflers. I think that's where I'll stop for the exhaust as it sounds perfect now. A bit higher pitched than with stock cats and a few Db louder. Only negative is there is a little bit more idle vibrations, which I suppose was related to removing the Cat brace.


Slapped on some Raybestos Specialty Rotors 980663/980664 Amazon had them for $230 shipped which was $100 less than rockauto! Not sure if the material is better or not being "Specialty" but they pretty much look identical to the OEM rotors.

I was having issues with the OEM rotors "juddering" after getting wet, never had that issue before on any of my cars so I figured I'd swap the rotors and double check if run out was <.002" with the new rotors (it was)

Side note, the spring Wire diameter for sport springs is
F: .580" R:.600". I think I'll eventually get my springs characterized since there is no data on their spring rate.

I don't understand FIs comment. I'm pretty sure the brace is attached to the trans not the body so relative movement not an issue. It most definitely removes the natural frequency away from being at idle so I think that's a miss from FI.

What's your exhaust setup? How do you like the RTP compared to the RHFC? I have the RHFC and have been yearning a for a little more ever since it was installed..

 

I'm not sure y'alls hearing is OK... I've got FI RHFCs and the FI catback and if I get on it, it's ridiculously loud. At idle, still loud - had neighbors 'comment' both good and bad.

 

Missing some of the bass but like how much louder it is under even moderate throttle. Burbles are better too.

Ofc my catback is known to be tame (stillen). I plan on doing a couple more things to the setup.

A little rasp too around 3k somewhere but I know it's temporary because of pending changes.

 

Just put FI RTP, onto existing 3" FI catback. It's definitely much louder than just with stock cats to catback, but power and throttle were major change that its worth it. I could go for quieter, but such is life.

I wanted to go 275 square but I'll prob run 255s for now to see how it fits.
