Wow talk about a blast from the past and feeling like I’m in a time capsule! Wow good to see some of the old heads are still around while most unfortunately have moved on.
Well to make things short…..I did update my build thread but long story short I bought back my old unicorn for my daughter to drive. Scarlett is back home where I think she’ll be for good this time. I ended up having the car shipped down from MN and surprised my daughter with it. More to come but holy deja vu!
You've been doing a lot of projects, and documenting them with details and pics. Time to put this stuff into a build thread.
Haha. If I had expected to do this much, I would’ve made a build thread 😁. Braided lines and oem black handles will be the last mods for some time, Have other cars that need some attention too…
Happy to send all oem part numbers for the trim mods and/or door handle parts if anyone needs them as well.
The bottom cushion on the sport model passenger side seat sits perfectly flat and my wife complains that its uncomfortable (thigh support on the driver's side is adjustable). Wonder if raising the front of the seat 1" would help. Worries me when an aftermarket part is advertised as "off road" as I feel like I am compromising safety or breaking a law of some kind by leveraging the product. Doesn't seem to be the case with the seat riser.

Your area has quite a few “opportunists” who like to use their auto locksmith device (Autel) to steal Nissans. Sport trim G37s are among the most common (better joyrides than a Nissan Rogue).
All to say, as you’ve been investing in your ride, I highly suggest you consider (especially if you street park):
visible steering wheel lock
OBD disable (locking cover, remove control power, dummy port, etc)
one or several hard-wired killswitches, to isolate some circuits which are needed to start the car (starter, push-button start, fuel pump, brake switch, etc)
Maybe not as urgent if you park in a private garage, but I’d still do the combo above for those odd cases you park outside on trips, etc
Gave the interior a scrubbing with a cleaner called “3D LVP” which works really well. Basically lifts the dirt and grime right off the seats, making it an easy wipe of a damp microfiber to remove. This stuff should prob be in everyone’s car clean kit
Funny thing about this light grey (stone) interior, I never really loved it. But after driving a car that has an entirely black interior (headliner included), I’ve got newfound appreciation for the lighter interior. Nice and airy. Let’s light bounce all around the cabin. Compared with an all-black interior, which feels very cave-like.
Took over a decade for me to realize that maybe Stone was the best choice for me

My G35S Sedan had Willow (beige) interior. I loved the way it looked when it was clean. Black is far more forgiving over time.
My 6MT also has the Stone Leather interior. I like the leather more than black, but I wish the overall quality was better, given all the problems I've had with my driver's seat.
I 've always thought the 2007 - 2009 Stone Leather interior was the best, with black plastics matched against the beige leather.
All that taken into context, I am so-o-o much happier after lucking into a replacement steering wheel last year.

Hexotic gave me that wheel last summer. He wrapped it with that two-tone from Redline goods. IMO it's freaking beautiful. The side panels are 100% match for my shifter boot, the p-brake boot, and my console lid leather. All I had to do was drive up to Canada and pick it up.
Like I said... lucky.

The dress-up bolts under my hood are a combination of titanium and stainless steel hardware. The titanium pieces are the larger bolts, with Ti washers. The SS pieces are typical fender washers, with gloss black collars without screen printing. Very simple.
This weekend I bought a pack of fender washers to use on my daughter's license plates. I do that with all our plates, thinking that a plate thief with a screwdriver in hand would fail when faced with Allen head bolts, and because they just look cool. Anyway, the set I bought through Amazon was a 40-piece set: 40 collars, 40 ss bolts, and 40 little ss nuts. All for only $14.99. That is a LOT cheaper than these things used to be.
Anyway, the new collars are a polished titanium, vs. the black of the old ones. And with all these left-overs, I think I'm going to swap them into my G.
Went ceramic all around. 35% windshield & 20% around the rest of car.
Also installed Redline perforated shift boot with custom purple baseball stitching (daughter plays softball), also opted for Billetworkz 500g candy purple ****
