You know what? Your close-up shot in the other thread didn't fully work for me... the color, the wheels, the rotors, IDK.
And then there's this shot, stepping back a few feet and taking in the color of the car with your wheels and brakes. In this picture, the bigger picture, the setup looks fantastic.
That last picture was directly in the sun and before I had done the bed-in process, so the zinc rotor was a bit overwhelming. After the bed in I can say not only am I happy with the looks but I'm very happy with my firmer pedal and have more confidence in my braking.
Replaced the cooling module as my fans were on all the time, went with another OEM one as the aftermarket ones apparently fail off which I was not happy with.
The 3x100µF caps read 92.5(small) 91,91. I expected worse for being original part from 2011! But they are 125C rated. that was going to be my guess why the module broke but 🤷♂️
The PCB is also conformal coated and the whole thing is sealed up tight!
I too have had issues with aftermarket units. Had one burn up on me. It was cool to see it burst in smoke up until it exploded and it took one of the wings of the fan
Today I decided to clean my throttle bodies. It was a very fun project and only took a couple of hours with the most basic mechanical knowledge/tools and some helpful youtube videos and forum posts. at almost 120k miles they had never been cleaned, and wow were they dirty! My car idled high for about 30 seconds after, but after doing an idle reset and driving around for about 10 minutes all is running normal and the car feels FANTASTIC. Much more responsive. Cost about $30 for some new tools, definitely worth doing!! Pictures attached.
Tools:
-10mm socket
-5' allen wrench (now lost down in my engine bay somewhere, OOPS!!)
-Flathead screwdriver
-Pliers
-Chemtool throttle body spray
-Shop towels
(I did not disconnect the battery, and I did move the butterfly around a bunch) Passenger side, after Passenger side, before Drivers side, after) Drivers side, before (yuck)
Did my front sunroof drains after finding my passenger side a little moist. Which gave me some flashbacks.. I pulled the carpet and underneath was bone dry so that's good!
Overall was easy just need some patience on the re-install. I used 11" Pliers with a 90° nose and had both of them out in 10min. I then used used a 1/4" OD Craft Tube (K&S 8106) which is a little undersized with the ID of the drain (6.75mm). So I ended up flaring the tube on one side and pulled it in tight. Then used some E6000 to seal it all up.
Once you move the insulation away they drop right in, I used some 3/8th extensions to push from the vent hole.

I also replaced my sunroof drain a week or so ago. I had the bright idea to do at 3:30 in the afternoon. Nearly burned myself on the windshield and dash.
Surprisingly similar exhausts. Flex pipe in the twin-loop with smaller resonators closer to the cats, but the same X-pipe design. Even the tips look similar.
The old exhaust was an Invidia Q300 with the mufflers swapped to twin loops.
I'm going to give a proper review with more pics within the next few days hopefully, but I got it done today after spending probably 6-7 hours doing the install myself on ramps / jack stands, and with no power tools. And I'm not the most mechanically inclined but I do okay, it just takes me like twice as long as the average person.
Anyway, the exhaust really blows me away. It sounds even better than I expected. And the LEAK is GONE!! It sounds so buttery smooth and quiet. The FI exhaust is basically exactly as others have described - mellow when needed, beastly when desired. It REALLY brings out that innate VQ sound. I love when the tone changes under medium throttle around the 3-4k RPM mark. It's the perfect mix of that inner childish giddy feeling but also being mature, if that makes sense.

^^Not bad for a decade old exhaust. Did you find the hidden washers?
Except for those flex sections, it looks pretty good. Bet someone would buy it too.
Yup the exhaust isn't bad for it's age! I'll probably ask around $300 locally picked up. If they replace the y-pipe or flex pipes at least, maybe they'd have $500 in it for a pretty decent cat-back. What's the cheapest you can buy one for nowadays? $900-1000+?

Exactly how I feel about the Fast Intentions exhaust. Couldn't have written that any better.

And what hidden washers are you talking about?
You would of come across them when removing the original mufflers. The spacing wasn't quite right on either side, needed to drop them about 1/4" down. Used a bunch of washers to make up the gap.
