Here's a pic of the '99. For those of you offended by 90's wheel gap... look away.
Some high school girl in my neighborhood has one of those. I was shocked to see it's a manual. White with grey cloth, same wheels, but an SE badge on the fender.

Yes and no. That's a SE Limited Edition, with a "SE Limited" badge on the fender. Specialty model at the end of the '99 model year. Basically a fully optioned SE. IIRC it only came in white, black and this beautiful deep red.
They did something similar in 2001 with the Anniversary Edition, and again in 2003 with the Titanium Edition. Each were very unique.

Random, but that reminded me of something funny. We recently had a news story break here in Toronto, a girl was car jacked at gunpoint, 4 guys made her get out of her car in front of Tim Hortons. 3 seconds later the thieves jumped out of the car and ran away. It was a manual Mazda 3.

Thanks for the history lesson in Maxima models. I'm certainly not a aficionado on 15+ year old FWD family sedans
Kinda funny I have a HS kid rocking a 5MT Maxima, and a neighbors kid rolling in a 94 300ZX Turbo, also 5MT. Maybe there is hope for kids these days after all......

I'm glad you're over stickers. The Hawk sticker on the battery is special

Wow! Very nice! I compliment you on your commitment to detailing. Keeping an engine bay (especially a white one) that clean for that long takes a lot of dedication!
Just about all of my friends think I'm a bit too **** with my cars, but I think you may be even worse than me, my friend.
I don't have any engine bay pics of my old Maxima, but here's a current pic of my Porsche engine bay after 27 years and (but only about 10 of those with Winters) and 125K miles.
In current car news, my missing axle bearing and seal arrived, so now my diff rebuild kit is complete, and I'm back on schedule for next Wednesday's gear swap.
