Robert, are you happy with your tires @ 245/40 285/35 ?

Mine @ 245/35/ 285/30 be any reason for concern?

I think Robert's going to go up to 295s in the near future, just ditto his offsets and you'll be golden. I'm running 295s on 10" +45 w/ no issues.

Understand the wait. My HREs tool 8wks and Forgelines 6.

I posted a couple pages back my final results/impressions. Currently I'm running a 245/35-19x9.5 +40 with a 5mm spacer netting a +35 on the front. First the +40 on the 9.5 was just too sunk in for me. I went with the +40 because not a lot of info was available for the sedan on Swift springs running fat tires. A 255/35 will be replacing the 245 when the time comes. Again went conservative on tire sizing for same reason.

On the rear I'm running a 285/30-19x10.5 +45. To be honest this is perfect IMO. However I want a fatter tire so a 295/30 will be mounted when the time comes.

I emailed my specs off to the shop i'm working with. I got a reply just now and this is what he said.

"You would want to do a +40mm offset at most, a +45mm offset would not be right at all.
The rolling diameter will be the same as the front with this tire size, for optimal fitment this is your best option."

and posted the following specs:

CV201 19"; 5x114.3; Anodized Polished Full Reverse Barrel; Matted
Silver (MSL) Finish; R-Disk; 19x9 +32mm Offset

CV201 19"; 5x114.3; Anodized Polished Full Reverse Barrel; Matted
Silver (MSL) Finish; O-Disk; 19x10.5 +40mm Offset

Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/40-19 26.7 Rolling Diameter
Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/35-19 26.6 Rolling Diameter

whats he talking about ? wondering if hes gotten confused with all the specs we been talking about.

Since he's talking about rolling diameters it seems he was talking about a 40 series tire compared to a 45 series tire, and I agree, lol a 45 series tire would not work well at all
I would stress the +45 in the back, on a 10.5" +40 you'll be out there, a +45 will allow you to run wider rubber, a +40 will limit you to a 275 IMO (or a risky 285).

OK first off have you read everything on the first post of this thread? A lot of good info there.

Second, a +40 is pushing the wheel further from the inside wheel well and towards the fender. Unless you plan on running some/a lot of camber I would say stick with a +45. Here is my post showing the difference; https://www.myg37.com/forums/3542952-post129.html

Also they are worried about rolling diameter over tire sidewall height. With the 245/40 & 275/35 choices your rear tire sidewall height is shorter than your front. And that will just look funny. This is why I'm running a 245/40 & 285/35. Plus with the 245/40 & 285/35 it doesn't effect your speedometer as much.

Lastly here is the final review of my current set-up; https://www.myg37.com/forums/3666607-post506.html

Everything stated above is spot on. For the rears you definitely want to stick with a +45 offset for the rears especially when you're running Michelin PSS wheels. If you go with a +40, you will probably get a good amount of rubbing even when running a 275 tire because those PSS's run pretty wide since they are real performance tires. Then later on if you ever want to go 285, you will have some serious rubbing issues on the +40 offset. Listen to Robert and blnewt and go with the +45, you will be glad you did especially since you can really enjoy the performance of the car without any worries.

Newt and Robert, I asked in the "will it fit" thread, but figured this is getting more attention these days.

Any idea if a 265/35 will fit the front on a 19/9 +40 lowered on swifts with stock camber? '13 sedan, 6MT.

Thanks

Yes, quite easily too I might add. You could probably push it out another 5-7mm.

With a +40 for sure! I'm running a 245/40-19x9.5 +35 (via a +40 w/ 5mm spacer) and have no issue. I don't think you'll have any running a 265/35 (or 30)-19x9.0 +40. Do it and let us know!!! This is for a sedan correct?

First, Congrats on the new wheels! I think the overall look of the wheels looks great on the sedan. Tire sizes are good too. However the OEM offsets are what pushes me away from them. That rear wheel/tire is poking out something crazy!

Yes i did. I want to thank you guys for helping me.

I ended up going with 275s in the back instead of 285's. I'm thinking the wheels will look just as nice either way.

If i cant post pics of my car here i understand.

Now the wait begins!
