Got my OEM chin spoiler today from Z1. Going in for paint over the weekend. The quality of OEM parts is so good, I think Infiniti makes some of the best looking oem chin and trunk spoilers out there - at least for the older models,
The grill is for my FX to get painted black. The OEM chin spoiler on my FX made a world of visual difference - totally different vibe without it.
Got my diff welded today and ordered some tires for my new wheels. My VLSD was basically an open and the Cusco diff I'm looking to buy will be 3-4 weeks for delivery, so had to go with a welded for now to be ready for the weekend. Picked up this set of Enkei PF07s last month (18x9 +30 and 18x9.5 +25) and finally got around to ordering some tires. Went with Valino 08Cs for the front and Kenda KR20As for the rear, 235/40 all around.
Happy with the look, though I would like to go a little lower to close up the front wheel gap and I also need to add a bit more spacer up front (currently 15mm so effective offset is +15) but a good staring point I think. The welded is honestly not as big of a pain as I'd expected for normal driving and the lack of clunking like clutch diffs I've had in the past is pretty nice. Will get some better pics later this week after I wash the car.
OEM Chin Spoiler/Sport Bumper, Midnight Grill, Rear Deck Lid Spoiler transform the look of the car and should be everyone's first mods.
Paint matched roof spoilers are also a nice OEM+ touch.
I saw a silver sedan with all of those mods (minus the black grill) the other day and it looked as good as almost any new sedan out there. Literally turned my head as it went by.
It is very rare to see the combination of the OEM chin and trunk spoilers on a G!
Finally went drifting today in the G at an actual event, only got clips on the skidpad but it was a ton of fun and the car is like a cheatcode. As soon as I got used to the weight it was an absolute pleasure to drive, but I somehow ended up with some extra lights on the dash and lost my speedo. I'll figure all that out this week and get it back to normal.

I wish more Gs came with both as dealer installed options. The midnight grill and rear spoiler were an option package, but when I asked about it at the time, the price was nuts (retail plus dealer mark up); I tried to get it thrown in, but asking for extras destroys negotiating power and they were selling me the car under invoice.
Same with the Chrome Sport wheels as those were a $3K option in 2013, on display hanging from the wall in the parts department.
I just slowly added all this stuff over time as Father's Day, Christmas and Birthday gifts :-)
With headlights in decent shape these cars do NOT look 10+ years old.
I agree. The design is timeless otherwise.
I always recommend cleaning the headlights up as one of the first mods. I try to stay on top of this for my other cars as well, but it's alot of work when the car sits outside.
Working with a guy I found on eBay that goes by the name of "Maine Coast Customs" to design a custom engine cover. I provided the paint color code for my calipers and he was able to match.
I love how this turned out.
