My RB Project, going all in!
Meanwhile, project get the RPM signal to work has commenced, I made a dedicated thread for it as it may help others who plan to engine/ECU swap.

I was hoping to update this thread with a dyno sheet but unfortunately, that didn't happen. What did happen though was that the ECU kept cutting at full boost at around 5000rpm. My AFRs and fuel pressure looked fine. I hooked up the laptop to try and figure out what was causing the cut but without any luck. The ECU cut one last time and the engine died. Deja vu. Parked on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, I start the car praying in every religion there is out there that the engine is fine but no luck, there was a party in my crankcase. An episode of Top Gear later, my flatbed shows up.

The car goes back to the shop. My mechanic, cussing in every Asian dialect, had a full diagnosis report for me 24 hours later. Poor fella's pulled out my engine so many times I bet he could do it blindfolded now.
The damage:
1 Damaged rod
Damaged crankshaft
Main bearings drilled through the block when the crank was out of balance
Toasted bearings
Cracked (red) exhaust manifold
I'll get pics when I head down later on tonight.
Analysis:
ECU kept cutting harshly creating lean spots and at 19psi that threw insane EGTs that must've cracked the manifold. RB bearings also don't enjoy harsh cuts like that, that must've spun a few that ended up damaging my crank.
So far, I'm not 100% sure what was causing the ECU to cut. I'm in touch with Adaptronic ECU's support (and designer) who has been nothing but helpful. I was stupid enough not to log any of the boost runs, a log file would've been very helpful.
Raw Brokerage magically managed to secure all the required parts for me and are already on the way to Dubai for me. I figured while the engine was out, I may as well take advantage. So I may have ordered an extra part or two. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right?
On a positive note though, that 6266 turbo is one hell of a beast! I saw positive boost almost instantaneously, and at around 4k rpm, 19psi! Don't get me started on how awesome it sounded too! Can't wait to get it up and running.

Tell me about it man, the view of an engine-less bay was no fun earlier today.
Luckily, the pistons had no sign of detonation on them. There were signs of a lean mix on the exhaust valves, now I'm starting to worry that my AFR gauge is not calibrated well. I'm not sure lean spots from an overboost was enough to cause that.

Dammit, Sam! I was reluctant to read your post. I'm really sorry to hear the sh*tty news. I know how much this build has meant to you and the rest of us - this is such a one off rarity.
Godspeed in getting the car up and running, sir - GODSPEED!

Thanks guys. My bearings and rod arrived this morning and my mechanic is already on it. I'm also fitting a head drain to drain all the oil back from the cylinder head. I'm also looking into a surge tank setup with external pumps. Debating if I should do it under the body or in the trunk.

I hope she goes back together all right.
