For the life of me I can't find info on the OEM G37S Sedan 18" wheels. I found the sticky about the 19" Coupe wheels, but not for the sedan. Without the OEM figures it's tough to use the calculators.

I have a 2013 G37S Sedan and am looking to go +1 wheels. Completely stock right now, and at the most might go for a slight drop on Eibach springs. The key is lightweight - I want to shed as much unsprung weight as possible. I've been looking at the Enkei RSM9's but don't know what width and offset to run, and how wide I should go. I'm open to suggestions on wheels around the same price point. Tire wise I see that most run 245/40's up front and 275/35's in the rear, but I'm open to suggestions there too. Not sure I need the width, especially with the added weight. I don't want to go skinny either. Basically, close to flush but don't want to run a camber kit or roll fenders, wide but not crazy. That "just right" look (nice and objective, I know ).

Please help.

Here's the 07-08 18" sport wheels, your current wheels should be the same or very close to it as far as offset
2007-2008 18" sport wheels
Front: 18x7.5 +45mm offset (appx 23.7lbs)
Rear: 18x8.5 +50mm offset (appx 22.4lbs)
As far as wheels, the SSRs are a nice wheel and fairly lightweight, here's a link for various designs
SSR Wheels for Sale - SSR Rims & Racing Wheels | Tread Depot
I'd go w/ a 19x8.5 +38 245/40/19 front
19x9.5 +45 285/35/19 rear

Thanks. I'll take a look at the SSR's.

My sedan I run 245/35/20s in front on 8.5" +40 and 295/30/20s on 10" +45 rims. Mine are concave but like I said the concavity is deeper in back, luckily the fronts have decent concavity so the change front to back isn't too noticeable. My rears are flush but the fronts have about 10mm room, I like the fronts in a bit since the front fenders aren't rolled like the rear so this allows enough clearance under compression. I'm lowered to zero gap on coils FWIW.
Check through the FAT tire thread for setups running wider tires

Wow that is awesome info Blnewt! I really do appreciate it a lot! I will possibly take your route on rims. I am really diggin the deep concave look and looking at your ride is what I am going for.. And Yes I do understand that the front will not be as concave as the back..but I am good with that look. Also, did you have to camber your rear or do any type of modification to make the rear fit? No rubbing in the back either?

I do have the F&R SPC camber arms & rear toe kit. My camber is about -.6 so it's way inside spec. The felt inner fender liner in the rear will make contact under heavy compression but only momentarily, other than that no issues whatsoever.
Have fun w/ your wheel search, so many choices

On a stock G37S Sedan (which may eventually be lowered on Eibachs but nothing else significant), how far out can wheels stick out safely? Don't want to roll fenders or run a camber kit at all. Looking at a 19x9.5" rears with a +38mm offset, which pushes the wheels out 25mm from stock. Plan is to run 275/35/19's.

Yay or nay?

I'm running 19x10+42 with 275/35 dropped on swift springs. You should be fine.

Top wheels have better coupe offsets, the Volks are a bit conservative so you'd probably want spacers to bring them out more.
The top set has a larger stagger so easier to use the correct staggered set~
245/40/19 front 275/35/19 rear OR 235/40/19F 275/35/19R

looking for some fatter tires for my stock (duckfeet?) wheels on g37xs, I'm currently using 20mm spacers all around, and am lowered with swift springs.

I currently have OEM spec 225/50/18s, but would like something a bit more aggressive looking. Application is for a daily street car with periodic spirited driving. I run dedicated winters so summer tires are fine

Anyone have any ideas on how 245/45/18's would fit? any pics of that size or any other wider size on duckfeet?

It would be a pinched fit, which really isn't a great idea. Here's a great resource on tires, scroll down to the bold title
"Too wide or too narrow - does it make a difference?"
Read more: Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 4 of 4
The section above that has a "Ideal Rim-Width calculator" that lists the proper rim width for any tire size entered.
Unfortunately your 7.5" rims aren't wide enough for 235s or 245s as per the calculator. If you deal w/ harsh winters might want to use those rims for a winter set w/ narrow snow tires and find a set of at least 8.5" wide to run 245s or 255s for the warm months w/ dedicated summer tires. 245s on 7.5" have been done, just know going in that they're not going to be an ideal mount.

Hi, new member to the forum but long time lurker and got a quick question. I'm looking at buying a new set of wheels for my 2008 G37 coupe journey model with the sizes
Front: 245/45/19
19" dia. 9.5" width and 30+mm offset
Rear: 285/45/19
19" dia. 10.5" width and 30+mm offset

I'm looking for a flush or just barely poking out of the fender well and I'm running stock height but looking towards a future lowering with swift springs.

You should be pretty good w/ that setup, when you drop you may have to shave the rear bumper bracket (I have a Sedan so I can't be sure). I would go w/ 245/40/19s in front rather than 45s and 285/35/19 rear, if you go w/ the tire sizes you listed it will look a bit off and your Speedometer and front to rear diameter variance will be quite skewed. Use this calulator to get a better idea of the fit and numbers (you want to be as close to zero % diameter variance as possible IME)
