Offsets will be close but tires are off a bit, it's better to run 245/40 w/ a 275/35 otherwise your diameters will be different, you really want the same sidewall height on all 4 for the best look.

Hey guys,

I've been looking around a bit but couldn't find a definite answer. I've been looking at a used set of staggered 18" winter tires/OEM rims off what I assume is a S model G37. I'm wondering if the following setup would work OK on my 2010 G37X sedan as they seem quite different to what Tire Rack has listed for recommended sizes: 235/40/18 fronts; 245/45/18 rears.

Thanks!

I'm short on time right now, check out the tire calculator and start plugging numbers in. Use the top line for your stock size and put new tires in the bottom section. You really want 1% or less in diameter difference for an X to keep any issues from arising. I'm thinking 245/45/18 & 275/40/18 would be a compatible mix, but haven't ran the numbers.

Hi Guys, quick question for you, just about to get a 2010 G37 Coupe and I already have some 20x8.5 +40mm all around, I know that this will in no way be an agressive setup, but would these work with 245/35/20 tires, would it be a respectable setup?

Thanks in advance for the insight!

If you click on my garage link you'll see my front tires are just what you want, 245/35/20 on 8.5" +40
The rears are staggered at 295/30/20
You'll be fine w/ that setup, especially if you aren't planning on lowering, if you are you'll probably want spacers for the rear.

Hey guys quick question, right now im running a staggered setup and im thinking about going to a more aggressive square setup. So just wondering if 20x10 all around at +15 offset and roughly a 255/30 would work? It an X coupe if makes any difference. Thanks!

HELP !!! I'm currently running stock G37S wheels with four 15mm spacers for an effective size (offset) of 19 x 8.5 (28) and 19 x 9 (30). I'm looking at some Rays 57Xtreme and using the wheel calculator, the best sizes to match my current stance appear to be Rays 9.5 (35) & 10.5 (43). A 10.5 (35) is also an option for the rear.

I'm currently on Tanbe front springs and stock sport rear springs. At some point I may install coilovers. Can someone recommend the best offset for the rear wheels?

My question is simple. I'm driving a 2010 G37x sedan. I want to run the 2010 370Z wheels (y shaped spokes) and I can't figure out what rim size front and back to get and which tire size I can run on factory or Tein, coil overs. I was thinking I needed four front wheels for the tire width or can I run the front and rear setup the rwd cars do?

Sorry, not sure how this post got whiffed, but anyhoo, are you driving a Sedan or Coupe? Those offfsets would be real flush on a dropped sedan but would still have some room to go out on a coupe.

The 19" Z wheels have very aggressive offsets for a sedan, the rears will poke out from the fenders a bit unless you run a bit extra camber and a stretched tire fitment. If you run all front sized rims you'll be OK, but the Z rears will take some work. If you go all fronts you could run 245/40/19s on all four corners, that would be the easy way to go.

So running the 10" rears would be too much. That's what I thought too. I've been reading every post I can trying to figure it out. I also went through reading spec sheets as we'll. So is a 45 profile tire too big on factory springs? I'm trying to save ride quality. My wife is a big proponent of ride quality I was thinking of going 4 front 370z wheels with 225/45 19 tires all around.

Again, sorry to ask another question with you just answering. Just trying to figure out what works best. So four front Z wheels running 225/40/19 tires for sure would work, but will 225/45/19 s work?

Just be sure to use this calculator when comparing tire & wheel setups, for a RWD try to be within 3% variance form OEM and AWD 1% variance. As the tires get wider the sidewall series gets smaller to keep diameter the same.
https://www.myg37.com/forums/tire_rim_calculator.php
For example my setup I'm running 245/35/20s in front and 295/30/20s on back, the sidewalls are the same height for both tires.

For your setup the 225/45/19 on all four will be fine, it's only 0.92% different than the 245/40/19s. IMO 245s are a better width for the 300+ hp of your G though. The sidewall will be the same height for either tire so ride quality will be similar, and w/ a bit more rubber on the road it'll feel more planted. And the 245 is a traditional fit w/ thsoe front Z wheels, the 225s would be considered a stretch fit FWIW.
