Looking into new rims for my G37x sedan. Currently looking at some Advanti B1 Lupo wheels 18x8 +42 offset with some 245/45/18 tires for all season. Anyone run something similar or have some idea if I'll have issues rubbing?

 

I am currently set on buying these Verde v20 wheels with 20x9 +38 front and 20x10 +25 back and was wondering if they will fit and won't hit My calipers, I have a sports and what tire size is recommended for it, thx

 

Those are pretty close to stock specs. They will fit similar to OEM, no rubbing issues.

 

I appreciate it, just don't want to go through ordering and finding out later any rubbing or clearance issues and paying a restocking fee.

 

I ended up picking up a square set of 18x10 +39 wheels last weekend. i had a chance to mount them on the car today and below are some pics of the suspension clearance.

i could barely fit a thin piece (i think it was ~2mm) of aluminum between the wheel and the knuckle. even though it technically clears i'm definitely adding the 3mm spacers just in case. sorry for the bad pics it was awkward trying to hold the plate and camera at the same time

 

Yeah, thought it would be tight, hopefully that 3mm spacer won't be a problem at the fender, what tires are you going with now?

 

i'm going with nitto nt555 g2 in 265/35/18 for the front and 285/35/18 for the rear. i did not want to try stuffing a larger tire in the front even though the rims are square and i couldnt find it in a 295 for the back.

but i think it should be ok.. i hope i'll have pics this weekend

I have a 2012 g coupe journey.
There are two sets of vossens available near me for a pretty decent price.
There's a set of VFS1's that I really like, but the front is 20x9.5 et25 with a 225/35/20 and the rear is 10.5 et45. I know the rear will fit no problem, I'm just curious about the front. I'm trying to stay away from poking and I'm not sure how well this will work for me.
There's a set of CV3's that I know will fit, but the seller is a tool and would rather deal with someone else.

Are you lowered? Here's a good pic of a 9.5 +22 w/245s in front and it's a nice fit, that +25 on a 225 will give you 3mm more room for the wheel and 10mm more for the narrower tire. FWIW I wouldn't run a 225 on a 9.5" width. I have 245s in front on my G w/ 9.5s and that's the most stretch I'd recommend running.

You would probably want to run a spacer in back so you'd get a similar fender fit as the front though. Something like a 15mm depending on what tire width you plan to run in back. FWIW if you run 245/35 front a 275/30 rear will give you a similar slight stretch as the front tire mount.

And life's too short to deal with tools, so set #1 FTW!

 

Wow. That looks a lot better than I expected.
I plan on doing eibachs if I go with the 20's.
I'm not a huge fan of the 225 up front, but the tires are close to still having the stickers on them.

245/35/19 Fronts and 275/30/19 in Rears works on X Sedan correct? cause that's what I have sitting in my house waiting for Spring

 

Not ideal, quite a bit shorter than oem diameter and the rear is shorter than the front, you'd be at 1% difference from day one, but over time (since the rears wear faster) that variance will increase.
It should work ok but over time at higher speeds your AWD may come on, when it's time for a new set I'd run 245/40 & 275/35, these are only 0.5% shorter and much closer to oem tire height.

 

I'm going off this as it is the closest I can find in my search, apart from the square Work Kiwami post.

I found some very... unique and interesting wheels that just so happen to have the same bolt pattern and hub size. The fronts are 18x8.5 +22 and the backs are 18x9.5 +22.
So, from what I have gathered and calculated, the fronts would fit just about perfectly flush, however the backs would poke out about 10mm or so.
My plan was to run 245/45 up front and 255/45 in the back. For the time being, I have the stock sport suspension and realize I'd have to run some negative camber in the back, eventually. Am I correct with all of this or am I off?

 

You are correct sir, the rear tires should still tuck with reasonable camber but you may have to resort to a bit extra as needed, you can run 245s on the 9.5 too to give you a bit more room.

 

I have a g37x sedan lowered on swifts. I'm looking at some 19 9.5 +20 offset wheels with 245/40 tires. I have about -2 camber all around. Will these fit?
