If it's a sedan add 10mm to the offsets.
Good info, so since I have sedan awd, what wheel size / offset should I look for?

Whoops, I misread your post. I thought you were asking "will I need to buy new rims" instead of "I will need to buy new rims"

18x8.5 +35 and 18x10 +45 will fit. Anything around that width and offset.

Ok great, I will keep that in mind when looking for wheels.

So I have a good idea what I want now. I need to confirm if this will be good since I'm not very sure about offset. This is what I come up with. It's for AWD sedan 2011

255/45ZR18 Continental ExtremeContact DW, Approved Rim Width 8.0 - 9.5 planning (8.5 x 18) 30 offset.

285/40ZR18 Continental ExtremeContact DW, Approved Rim Width 9.5 - 11.0 planning (9.5 x 18) 30 offset

The tire sizes are fine in terms of overall diameter, but they are pretty fat for the size of wheels you're going with. I imagine you're going to have a tough time fitting the 285s in the back with the 30 offset, but I'm sure blnewt will chime in with more experience. Fronts should be okay.

You could try downsizing to 245s in front and 275s in the back, should be a better mount and a better fit with even less variance.

Well the tires already shipped lol.. I really wanted to have nice fat rear.
After reading various articles I didnt wanted to have tire bulge and lot of people seem to run wide tire in bit narrow wheel, still within spec that is, other wise traction and wear is gonna get ugly.

After checking calculator seems like I'm up bit over 1 inch in diameter and at wheel 27mm wider than stock 225/50r17 with 45mm offest. I guess worst case scenario perhaps 5-10mm spacers will make it flush with fender.

Any advise is well taken.

Just realized I need wider rear wheel, probably 10.5? not sure what I was thinking with 9.5 since tire will be 285

So I was offered a RIDICULOUS deal on a set of 18x8.5 ET 20 wheels. I'm struggling with my calculation of offset. Will that be an aggressive look on a rwd sedan? From what I've been reading I fear it's too aggressive and will poke out too much. My goal is as much meat as possible under the car and as reasonably close to flush setup as I can. The price (if they fit) is worth grabbing them until I get a wider set. May still go with 18s later, 19s max

Here's my AWD sedan with OEM coupe wheels. The fronts have 20mm spacers and the tears have 15mm spacers making final specs 19x8.5 +23 and 19x9 +30 respectively (I'm pretty sure). AFAIK the fit is the same at the fender between AWD and RWD. Hope this helps.

If you run 245 width tires, the tires will tuck just inside the fender edge in front, back will be fine, but the wheels themselves will be poking outside the fenders about 6mm further than mine (I'm running 9.5 +38, which equates to a 8.5 +26)

I can deal with that. If it looks too bad before I get my suspension then I'll just keep them in the garage until I do. Plus @blnewt, your car is the one that made me consider 18s instead of 19s

Like I said, it should tuck ok without having to resort to heavy camber, which should end up looking better than being forced to run camber to squeeze them in. You could easily run 235/45s too if you want some extra wiggle room.

Fronts will be no problem and I think rears will be a tight fit but doable.

Hi all,

I have a 2012 G37xS Coupe lowered on Swift Springs w/ SPC Front & rear camber kit & toe bolts.

My car came with the 19x8.5 +43 with 225/45/19 all around. I'm ready to upgrade wheels and tires now and have pretty much settled on the Rohana RF1 or RC10. Here's what I'm thinking and why...

Based on all the calculators I've tried, a 295/30/20 is only 0.01% different than the 225/45/19 that the car had originally. I want a flush fit, or as close to flush as possible. I want to go as wide as I can without rolling, pulling, or outside OE camber adjustments. Will the following work, and if not, where am I going wrong and what might you suggest?

The RF1 is only available in these sizes:

20x9 +25 or +35
20x10 +45
20x11 +28

Option A -

Front - 20x10 +45 255/35/20
Rear - 20x10 +45 295/30/20

Option B -

Front - 20x9 +35 245/35/20
Rear - 20x10 +45 285/30/20

Thanks very much!

On a side note, any way to change my screen name on here? I don't use forums much and have apparently set this up with my full name by mistake. Thanks

I would say go with option B. Doesn't make sense to put staggered tires on square wheels. Otherwise put the same sizes on option A (255/35/20) if you want a square setup.
