Are you looking for a STS now? Match a custom pedal to a custom shifter, and driving the car will always be fun.
And have you considered the MTEC Shifter Spring? Every time I research that little thing, I come away thinking "meh".
I look at the point of engagement more like distance away from top-of-pedal, rather than distance to the floor. But yeah... it's a big change. All good, IMO. Much more linear and manageable.

Installed my Eibach Pro Kit, new pads and rotors all around, blacked out my trim, installed my rear roof spoiler (group buy last month), installed OEM spoiler, installed 20mm spacers all around, and almost forgot new Moog endlinks all around. Whew it was a busy week last week. Pics to follow soon.
Today I installed a rear swaybar from a G37 Coupe into my X-sedan. For the $75 the bar cost me off Ebay, this was so worth it. If you're not afraid of wrestling things into place a bit, you can only remove the farthest rear exhaust hangers and loosen the next set up. It does take a bit of Tetris-like wrangling, but you can get the old bar out and the new one in without too much effort. I did it with the rear on ramps, so if you're on jackstands it may be a different story. I also sprayed all the bolts with penetrating oil a week in advance (Kroil is my favorite) and everything came out with no rounded heads or stripped threads.
Overall, the car feels a bit more composed, and doesn't seem to wallow/understeer nearly as much as it did. I haven't pushed it on any on-ramps or anything, but I'm thinking it will be quite a bit more balanced. I'd say that if you're not sure about dropping the money on a Hotchkiss setup (which I wasn't) this is an excellent upgrade.
