Gutted my trunk and added my new personalized plate - meant to be a cheeky reference to the car's capabilities in the quarter mile.

Probably need to. That seam sealer looks fugly. I used dry ice for the flat section of sound deadening and my wife's hair dryer for the backs of the wheel arches. All this in 110+ deg Arizona summer heat.

Any obvious increase in noise?

Besides the decent weight savings of removing nearly everything in the trunk, I was hoping I'd hear more of my Invidia Q300 cat back exhaust because it's otherwise fairly quiet from inside the car. I'd say this helped a bit, but I'm sure I'll be even more pleased when I get my FI RHFCs in and installed. FWIW, it sounds no different if I have that pass through door open or closed on a full acceleration.

I'll be interested to hear if the Q300 + FI RHFC has the hiss that seems present in a lot of other setups.

Finally got my coilovers dialed in and spacers on. Check my build thread for pictures. Just need an alignment now. No camber kit- fitment looks perfect and camber doesn't look extreme

I am not sure I understand this one. The weight savings must be pretty minimal and now your trunk is basically not usable. I mean, you can put large objects in there without issue, but stuff like groceries and whatnot will be all over the place since they dont have a flat surface to sit on. And all for what, 50lbs or so? Maybe I am missing something.

100lbs = .1 in the 1/4 mile

Thanks! Yeah, my G is a black sedan so I think the wheels will look pretty nice on her. I just realized that I mistakenly typed 20x10 in my original post. My wheels are actually 20x10.5 +28

My car was mistaken for a Maxima quite often. Even at a Nissan dealership a couple of times.

Pretty darn close. You know your stuff.

I think he was just experimenting with the trunk. Doesn't make any sense to leave it like that.

Fair question. A couple things: (1) I work from home and do not commute, (2) we have a second vehicle for things like hauling kids, trips to Costco, etc., (3) other than removing the sound-deadening, it's all temporary, and (4) I'm chasing lower e.t.s in the quarter mile on a budget and the reduction in weight for the trunk items + lighter exhaust + lighter cats + removal of the window washer fluid reservoir in the engine bay all contributes to that. I'm planning on running when temps cool down in PHX. Will update the 1/4 mile time slip thread when I do. Then I can put stuff back in and call it a day

Thanks for the explanation and thank you for not getting all crabby about what was intended to be a very straight forward question. Good luck on the timeslip! I miss running down the track.

No problem. I've had lots of practice articulating my rationale to my wife and my buddies . Sigh, what chasing time slips will cause a man to do sometimes...

No doubt! I removed a perfectly good AC compressor and condenser from one of my DSMs...all in the name of weight/speed.

I just spent $300 on the premium floor mats ...refused to spend $100 on another set of the standard mats and really nothing in the name of after market...my mat was disgusting...quality is poor on the standard mats. Sort of an across the board issue with Nissan in my opinion. My mazda's and vw had fantastic mats and base carpet. Had a Merc C280 AMG and that was amazing quality carpets.

Its the little things...
