I would not be surprised if it just requires the switch, and that whole seat+seat module.
tho the vert seats also has the speakers in the headrest, not sure how those wire up.

Example: the wire harness in the front doors for sedans, have the capability for power folding mirrors. they left the harness for it in there.
The fact I can direct swap sedan to coupe seats. and gain power lumbar as well.
my 10" sport seat had manual lumbar.

Im going to scope the Junkyards near my home and see if there are any coupe/vert seats around. This sounds like a wonderful idea.

Ordered 2 quarts of Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90 Synthetic Extreme Pressure Lubricant, going to stop at the dealer today and get new crush washers. Rear differential fluid replacement, next week.

And while I'm at it, I'm going to re-wrap the rear doors upper chrome trim vinyl. It's been ~4 years and it's starting to wear in a couple spots.

Just yesterday, I received a 10mm Hex Bit Socket for a 1/2" drive in the mail from Amazon, for exactly that same plan. This hex bit is a difficult piece to find for a 1/2" drive, unless you buy a full hex kit. And I picked up a simple fluid pump from Harbor Freight.

Why 1/2" and not the more commonly available 3/8"?

I wanted to use the torque wrench without an adapter.

Installed 6000K HIDs and put LEDs in the fogs, little light at the top, and turn signals (with a parking light delete).

Just keep in mind that you'll most likely also need to get the hoses/adapters and/or baffles needed to connect the seats to your cooling vent lines under the front seats. Also not sure where the switch is for the cooled seats in the 'vert model, but you may want to check and see if the wiring is already there for the extra switch.

I did some searching since I figured this has been tried before. Sounds like it's separate from the AC system and is really just a fan

Is that street legal? Looks good, but I thought there had to be amber in the turn signals? I honestly cannot recall any longer though.

There will be amber in the turn signal, it just doesn't work as a parking light anymore

That could very well be. I was just going by how they are hooked up in my RAM 2500, which basically uses a baffle that opens and a fan that forces air from the under seat vent through the perforations in the leather seats. I haven't researched them for the G37 at all, but it would make sense that they only use a fan and why they call them "ventilated" seats and not air conditioned seats. They work great in the RAM by the way... was using them all day today to keep my butt and back cool.
