At the alignment shop now, damn could they have gotten the car any dirtier? Lol.
No rub on the way over, I'm so stoked!
New tires look great, Furlow! Nice to see people pushing the envelope with fat tires on the G Sedan.
Are those the Continental Extreme Contact DW or Extreme Contact Sport?
I just picked up a set of the Extreme Contact DW's for my Porsche at Tire Rack since they are closing them out for a steal. 245/35R18's (F) and 285/30R18's (R). This will be my first set on Continentals in decades, so I'm really excited to try them out.

Tire fitment is spot on, Johnny. And I love those wheels too!
Extreme Contact Sport. I'm a huge fan of these tires. Did about 300 miles this weekend and they are amazing. They seem a little louder than my DWS's over rough patches, but also quieter when the road is perfect. Probably just a result of the stiffer sidewall.
Here's a question for everybody.... have you guys noticed a huge increase in road noise and ride choppiness with 20s? I live in the Southeast and the roads are OK here, but I'm kind of torn between 19s and 20s.
Also while I'm asking what do you think are the lightest wheels in 20x9/10.5 for under ~$1500? The TSW Nurburgrings in 20x10 are 24.5lbs (!!!!) for ~$1400 a set; I imagine that being really hard to beat. I guess the question is what 20" wheels are forged for less than $1500 for 4?
Man those are some difficult questions to answer, each person's opinion is so subjective. What's "noisy" to one person is nothing to another. The question is, do you want your car to be a quiet, freeway cruiser? If so, do not get 20's. Hell I wouldn't even get 19's if that's your goal. I'd venture to guess that most of us are looking to create a "sports sedan" (if you have the sedan?) or a more sporty coupe. I have the sedan. In my opinion, Infiniti completely missed the mark with the sport model sedan. It should have come factory with wide 19's, a stiffer suspension, lower ride height, a more aggressive exhaust, etc. - so that's what I did.
I haven't had 19's on this car, but my 20's aren't much more "noisy" than the 18's. They are far more stiff, and combined with the lowered/stiffer suspension (Swift springs and Koni shocks, and sway bars), it is absolutely less forgiving. But that's what I was shooting for. I've even adjusted my Koni yellows to full stiff, so that it's as stiff as possible. But I don't drive my car every day, and I don't have a long commute, so that works for me.
As far as wheel weights, it seems like you found a great blend of price and weight. My Vossen VFS1's are 25 pounds front and 26 rear in 20x9 +32 and 20x10.5 +45 and from my experience, that is on the very light end for a cast wheel. I'm sure you can find lighter wheels in forged, but you're going to pay a lot more. Saving 4-5 pounds per wheel and doubling or tripling the price wasn't worth it to me. I may go lightweight wheels at some point, but if I do it'll be something like the Enkei RPF1 in 18x9.5. Here's an example of a member on here who has those wheels. I think he's running 265/40/18. And that setup is about 12-13 pounds lighter than stock. And about 8-9 pounds lighter than what I have now. You could pull those off for less than $1,500. Plus tires, of course.

Four front GTR wheels would fit the bill if you can find them.
Don't rule out 18s either, love my 20lb 18s!

i've been fantasying over a meaty set of tires on a set of RPF1's, just gotta decide if 18" or 19"
My rims are 20x9 +38 and 21x9.5 +24 can I get away with 255/35/20 and 265/30/21 dropped on Eibach Pros?
Yeah, those sizes are compatible, the rears are about 0.8% taller so not excessive. What wheels are you running, don't see staggered diameters on Gs often, especially a 21"?

Thanks for the confirmation...got a good deal on Work Varienza T1S but the low rear offset had me second guessing about clearing the fender hopefully camber won't be too bad. Just ordered the tires and spacers for the front will post up ounce installed.

I'm kind of torn because I really don't mind the look of the stock duck feet on my S sedan. I feel like with spacers and a drop I would be satisfied looks wise. But grip wise 245s in the back are not enough. I had 225/245 width NT555s on my 350Z and that was just barely enough, especially in the wet. With ~500lb more I feel like I need 255/285 at the minimum for the same grip levels.
I feel like I need to see a G on 20s in person... it's hard to get a feel from pictures. Most likely though I think I'm gonna just get 19s. So much cheaper, easy to get light ones, and they will look OK. Probably the best compromise.

Not sure what happened but I glossed over that rear offset spec, was focused on that diameter stagger
That rear +24 is real aggressive, I have 9.5 +38 and the wheel is at the fender so you'll be 14mm out from that, but I'm running 285s. I'm also at minimal -1.0 camber. With some extra camber they should tuck ok, just depends if you're ok w/ that. Might also see how much it is to have them re-barrelled at a +35 offset range.

Based on the wheel width and offsets listed in the chart the 18" wheel options will be a better fit for your car. If you have Akebono or big front brakes just makes sure the 18" wheels will clear them... some will and some won't. If you have the Akebono (sport) brakes then 19's might be the safer option.

yea i've been thinking about 18x9.5 +38 not sure what tire size..
the thing is this is my 1st RWD car i refuse to run square lol
