I just got a letter in the mail from Infiniti about the 2015 update and that it hasn't been updated in 2 years, it is $179 to order it but I'm just curious if there is any other way to save on cost of the update, AFAIK I've read somewhere here in the past that people save on updates somehow but I'm not sure how.

Any info would be helpful

To me it's not worth it to update them. They're $150 each update. Just save the $179 and put it towards a tune instead.
I debated updating mine but decided to buy a new Garmin instead. I think it ran me $300ish but with the free updates and active traffic monitoring to me it was worth it. At the same time, I put more mileage on rentals than my car so that does factor into the decision.

Kirk, depending on when and where the next meet up is I'm thinking that may be the time I tune. I saw that ECUtek just rolled out some maps for a 370, need to take a look at that again.

I see I see makes sense Chris... I'll think about it no biggie lol.

Hey Lego_Maniac have you ever gotten around to install the kp technologies fog light module on your car or found any info on how to install it without any issues or at least point me in the right direction? I desperately need something to make it possible to use fogs seperately from low beams via the original switch by the steering wheel

No, I haven't. The fact that someone posted 180 wouldn't install it has me a bit concerned. I've been pondering listing it in the classifieds.

Ahhh I see.. Well I contacted one shop not so local but still within reasonable range and spoke to the guy about the issue and he will look into it, look at info for the module, see what he can find and figure it out, but if not there are few other ways to do it like cutting and grouding a wire in the stock switch according to the guy who sounded like he's done that before and knew what he was talking about and definitely is willing to help and look into it to get it done.

Yeah, let me know. I was thinking about tuning mine with UPREV sometime this winter, depending on my finances since I'm trying to buy a winter beater/daily driver.

Chris - can you grab a large caliper and measure the OD of the neck of the FI exhaust, please? It's probably either 2", 2.25" or 2.5".

Connor, do you have a thread posted somewhere on your transmission issues? I'm curious as to what happened. I'm not sure how I missed that!

I'll break out my digital calipers when I get home tonight and measure mine for you. Which point would you like to get a measurement on? Coming out of the cans?

That's it, yes.

As end-of-year approaches, and I edge closer to actually ordering next year's catback, I find myself prioritizing fitment and quality (FI) over something which could be more exotic in design and sound (ARK). Add to that the cost of ditching those stupid ARK exhaust tips...

...anyway, I'll be ordering a FI cat-back. And probably with the 18" resonator, too. Matched up to my FI RHFC, the result should be just like Choman's car, which is a very deep tone with zero rasp. It's doubtful that I'll replace the FI tips right away, or even at all. But I'd still like to know more about the measurements, so thanks in advance, twin_snails.

And there it is.

Why not upgrade the piping from 2.25 to 2.5 to further deepen the tone?

How would that match up to the standard size cats?

To be quite honest, the hiss almost sounds more like a baby rattle that last 3 seconds than snake hiss.

Go 12s, get the extra noise.
I've been on conference calls since I got home. If twin snails can't get the measurements I'll grab them in the AM.
