Or maybe it isn't, and you should have your mechanic go over your exhaust again? Which isn't a bad idea anyway... getting the car back up on the lift a few hundred miles into a new exhaust.I'm pretty sure I don't have this hiss that you speak of. But I'm also 100% deaf in my left ear, so that taints every opinion I might have about how things sound.

Only if you find commiseration therapeutic. The point of your complaint du jour is whether or not it's normal, right? Maybe it is, and not everyone recognizes it?

As for the hiss, you could most definitely hear it with your right ear in my car so maybe you don't have it? Have you tried to listen for it?

With two people it's not too bad. The demon bolt on top of the cat (PB and extensions galore, impact won't get it off) is the worst part but once you break that (going through the engine bay) everything else it just loosen and tighten. I did the install on my exhaust but decided to take the cats to a shop because I didn't feel like messing with it this time.

might just take them somewhere whenever I get them
Hey guys and gals, what are my options on 2015 map update on my 2013 sedan cost wise?
I just got a letter in the mail from Infiniti about the 2015 update and that it hasn't been updated in 2 years, it is $179 to order it but I'm just curious if there is any other way to save on cost of the update, AFAIK I've read somewhere here in the past that people save on updates somehow but I'm not sure how.
Any info would be helpful

Mine were nasty. I took it to my friend's shop and called it a day. Even with the right tools, my mechanic had a hard time with the cats. He was going to hit the bolts with an induction coil to superheat them but the coil wouldn't reach that far down to the cats from the top of the engine bay. He wrestled that socket wrench like he had someone in a head lock and the top bolt finally snapped and came loose.
