^ Hey great picture, you can actually see how much lower the exhaust hangs compared to the body after the front wheels (bringing it back on topic! jk).

Haha. Right.

The Ark exhaust does hang pretty low. Surprisingly...I haven't scraped my Y pipe but once. Its more the tips and cans on heavy inclines.

That's interesting because my flex pipes in the Y section of my ARK exhaust are always the first to scrape and the mufflers and tips much less.

That's a fantastic photo.

There's a reoccurring theme from ARK owners: "Yeah, it scrapes, but oh man the sound!"

Anyone have an opinion on FI's CF mufflers? This is the first I've ever come across it.

I've only heard of coupes having the CF axle backs.

And if FI, pretty sure I'd go with 18" resonators. I'd only like it hella loud if it "pops!", like the Ark or Motordyne.

What I'd really like is if Fast Intentions sold a cat-back with a helmholtz resonator. That would be the best.

Exhaust Muffler Tip Oval Forward Slash Cut Double Wall Inter-cooled Rolled Edge Resonated 2" Inlet / ID, 4.75X3.25"Outlet / OD #RTP-005

It's worth asking. They were willing to do dual tips on mine but it would have meant a CA trip. For a single tip the trip shouldn't be needed I wouldn't think.

A real beauty. About 6lbs in weight savings. Brings up the price by ~$300, compared to the SS finish.

So looks and weight for a premium... That's all it is?

Uh no clue since the only gasket that was reused was brand new installed when I had my exhaust installed I guess about 5-6 weeks ago, and the other 2 were just fresh out of the box installed together with the Y-pipe (yes MXP included 2 gaskets not 3 )

That's cool that's cool John, skip the MXP, the less people know about it the more distinctive I feel about mine

After thinking about it if not for the deal I got on my MXP then I might have gotten Motordyne just as well, but since I got the deal and considering the MXP is not too common I wanted to distinct myself from the rest of the crowd and be different and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

haha, not to brag about my MXP, not trying to make it seem like that or anything, but speaking of the exhaust "pops!" , to my surprise my MXP pops too especially now even more with the Y-pipe but I yet can't describe when exactly it pops but I love it ,yet have to hear it from outside how that sounds.

I feel like we need to meet up once again before you pull the trigger on an exhaust and You need to hear it again !

Well, those are the objective facts. Some people claim a higher pitched sound for the CF, while others say that the sound difference isn't that much.

I found a quote from the370z forum:

"The Carbon Fiber sleeve is technically not thinner than the Stainless Steel case. The reason it dissipates the sound differently is mainly due to the material characteristic of one to the other. It is also due to the way Carbon Fiber muffler seals to the end cap vs the Stainless Steel being welded all the way around.

Thanks, Tony"

The one thing I don't like about my FI exhaust is that there almost no sound under deceleration. Very uneventful if you ask me.
