My older brother( because of whom I got into cars and got the mod bug)keeps telling me that If I will mod the suspension and want to lower the car to only do a shock/spring setup which would be koni/swift or Eibachs or what, the difference between stock heigh and konis is quite noticeable with lowering springs but I still would like to be able to adjust the height but he says coilovers sooner or later go to ****, at least the lower tier ones, and the top tier are just too expensive so I really dont know

If I had a RWD I'm pretty sure I'd be saving for KW V3s. With the AWD I'm thinking it will be the Fortune coilovers.

I like the drop on Swifts but I'm scraping and I'm not that low. (Damn marks on my x pipe already) So.... I can't go places I used to and am s l o w l y going over speed bumps here in the apartment complex. Good to know for when I move anyway

No. Both my G and my wife's Honda are always in the Garage. I have a parking pad that we had built at the end of our driveway, for guests and the MIL (because I have a shared driveway with the neighbor). And in a few years, my 14 year old will be approaching driving age, probably about the time my 85 year old mother-in-law stops driving and parking there. So the loose plan is to get a 3rd family-access car, and leave that outside. Something cheap, with high-seats and good visibility, easy-storage access, high-mileage, and disposable... maybe a KIA Soul, or something like that that the kid can't get into too much (or any) trouble with.

But to your question, the logistics just don't work for me to personally have two cars... unless we move to another house, which I really don't want to do.

Sounds like I'm a bad influence on you...

Holy crap I've missed a lot on here. Seems like a few of y'all have been taking care of some pretty neat upgrades. I think I'm most excited to see Kirk's new exhaust. The things I would do for a meisterschaft....

That makes two of us. I pick it up from my brothers office tomorrow morning, he said that FedEx usually delivers around 9am, so I may try to see if my mechanic can install it tomorrow, if not I have an appointment for Tuesday at noon.

Or... you and your mechanic could do a ride-along with your local FedEx. Bring tools, some water, and an umbrella. Some people like to wear adult diapers, so you don't waste time in the bathroom, but personally I think that's a bit much.

Good luck, man. Tick tock.

GoPro should be there (via FedEx) on Tuesday morning. Gotta do that before and after!

What I've done for my exhaust videos is clip on a microphone to my exhaust tip and record as I drive.

I actually recorded my exhaust on my G by placing my iPhone underneath the tip and performing a few revs. Then I merged the clips. That way you're not getting a bunch of middle noise.

Redline MT-85 was swapped into my manual transmission this morning. The OEM gear oil was perfectly clean, which I'm actually very pleased with. I would have been concerned if it were blackened after only 19K miles and 3 years.

Also had my front sway-bar bushings removed and re-greased. That awful groaning noise, heard over small bumps while crawling through parking lots, is gone. Yay!

Discovered a huge chunk ripped out of my lower engine bay cover. This probably happened when the car was pulled up the flatbed last month. (sigh) I'm not actually interested in getting an aluminum aftermarket replacement, and will probably just buy it OEM. Don't know how much these things are.

Does anyone have any idea what are IPL wheels offsets front/rear? I'm just curious because I noticed IPL offsets are definitely a little more aggressive than sedan sport wheels hence the flush look on my sedan and probably no need for any spacers, or 3mm/5mm at last.

Found this on G35Driver.com: 19x8.5 +43mm offset front, 19x9 +45mm offset rear.

That said, you might be wanting spacers if you drop the car.

Mike, those IPL whees look awesome on your car! Props for doing something a little different.

Kirk, I can't wait to see pics of and hear your new Meisterschaft exhaust. How soon will you be getting it?

In other news, my 2.5" RHFC's and CBE (non-resonated) should be here Wednesday or Thursday!!! Seriously. Can't wait!!!

^^
My couch has taken a beating from all of the "Can't wait fits" I've had over the last 3 months...LOL!
