You'd have to double check with Lance, but I'm sure it would work with some finagling.

The OD of the neck coming out of the muffler is 2.465
The OD of the neck of the tip is 2.5

That help?

PM'd Lance for info. Let's see what he says.

Thanks, yes, that's the info I was looking for. Kind of surprised that it's 2.5", but there it is and now I know.

The easiest thing to do with new welded tips is to go *over* the cut stub of the original neck and weld the new piece directly to the can. A more difficult approach would be to try and weld two equal diameter pieces together. IDK what you would do if the replacement tip had a smaller neck diameter than the original.

Thanks again, Chris.

Hey John, I completely forgot to take measurements last night but it looks like you've got the measurements you need. I'll take mine anyway just to see how they line up. I'll get info on the fitment of the tips in relation to the bumper cutouts if you're still looking to swap them at some point.

Congrats on your decision to go with FI! The quality and fitment is top notch.

the 2.5 is the OD of the tip, I would "think" another 2.5 OD tip would slide over then neck of the muffler. Mind you I'm wrong more than im right.

Confirmation from 1CleanG (Lance) that FI will build a 2.5" cat-back to match up to the 2.25" pipe on the standard FI RHFC. The added diameter is an added cost, but reasonable.

Who wants to answer the question: why 2.5" over 2.25"? I'm thinking 2.5", but with the 18" resonator. Matched with the RHFC, I suspect that would result in a very deep, very modulated exhaust. However, I don't really know, because that's just a dumbazz opinion based on nothing except some small experience and a lot of hearsay.

Opinions?

I'd go with 18" resonators. Worst case scenario you can swap that section out for 12's if it wasn't loud enough. Glad Lance will work with you.

I don't have any cat mods but the 18" is quiet, a lot quieter in person than the video I posted a while back. Its sounds a lot louder in-cabin than outside.

Discount Tire has a similar offer, with the exception of nitrogen. In fact, they balance them everything they rotate.

Could chalk it up as novelty, but the Dodge Charge SRT (and many others) will tell you on the dash what the tire pressure is on each corner.
My 2012 Maxima would tell me the actual tire pressure for each tire. It didn't know where each tire was, but I engraved 1-4 on my valve stems to keep track of them.

It was a full year ago when I drove Choman's tuned 6MT with a full FI setup cats to tips. Wish I could have bottled up that moment so I could uncork it now.

I distinctly remember commenting to him that it could be louder. Certainly resonators and mufflers each affect the exhaust, but the resonators aren't so much about noise as they are modulation... it's the mufflers that reduce overall noise.

With a high in the upper 30s and a low in the low 20s I'm really wishing the G came with heated a steering wheel...
