This is not for when your lights go off due to low air. This is for when you change wheels , sensors, or sometimes when you rotate wheels.

I just noticed that if you want a tool for this that has the proper connector and an easy-to-use trigger switch, the OTC 3831 is it.

Available at Amazon.com for $23.31 (at the time I'm posting this).

Rather big 'n' chunky for an SPST switch, but if you don't feel like fooling with pieces of wire and such, I guess it might be worth it.

Bought used tpms for my new rims. After install drove it for 20 mins or so without problem and then drove it again after 2 hrs then the light came on solid then 5 mins later it started flashing. So I'm trying to reset them but the light will not stay solid in ON position, it will only go solid after 1 min when in ON or start, it will not go into learning mode after this. It seems like it starts at learning mode

Do not wait for the tpms light to turn solid. As soon as you turn on the ignition, tap the wire 6 times to ground. Then you wait. If it goes solid after a min, it didnt work. If it keeps flashing for > 2 min, then it's in learning mode.

Haha, very nice. For those DIYers, I made a less fancy version of this for less than $2. Used some spare wire, a paperclip (to jam into the Infiniti connector), solder (optional), and a momentary spst button. My ground was to the cigarette lighter.

From my experience, the tire pressures didn't have to be exact. As you drive and the tires warm up, the PSI inside your tires change. They just have to be different enough for the tmps system to be able to differentiate between the four sensors.

Ok I'll try it again. Maybe I didn't ground it properly, I even tried few diff grounding spot. Or didn't insert my wire properly.

That means the car was not able to register all the sensors and programming has timed out. This is either due to the pressures not set correctly or if one of the sensors is bad.

Can I go into diagnostic mode while tires have 4 diff pressure or this will just give me more codes and will not give me accurate reading as to which tpms is? Or do I have to put same pressure for all tires? Thanks for all your help.
