What codes are you running? The code 53 can only be reset by Consult III or TPMS service tools.

I filled the tires up, and drove around for another 5~10 mins w/ the light staying lid. Any ideas? I also looked thought the owner's manual w/ no mentions of the beep . . .
I had the beep too. Tried a couple of times driving in the city with no luck. Then tried it on the highway after getting it into learn mode, and it worked! I wonder if some sensors need the high speed to wake them up and send a signal. I think if there is no signal for more than ten minutes then the learn mode times out and beeps to warn you it has timed out.

MODME, I got several codes. If I'm reading them correctly they are as follows,
15, 16, 17, 18, 32, 44, 46 and 52. I tried to clear them out, but they keep appearing. I don't understand it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe, I'm getting close.

Thanks

I would take it into the dealership. It sounds like there's at least 1 broken sensor and maybe something wrong with your BCM. Do you have any aftermarket electronics installed?

I don't have any aftermarket electronics installed. I had to swap out my cd changer, but I put another oem in. I can't see myself taking it to the dealer. Everything is working fine except the TPMS waring light comes on after 20 minutes of driving. My thoughts was to clear the stored codes and see if that did it. If there was a problem with the BCM, would this be the only side effect or would there be something else?

The problem is that some codes cannot be erased by the diagnostic mode. You would need a Consult III to erase.

Finally got this to work

I am on the same boat with some of the people here that my light stay solid if I do the step when the car is at the ON position. I am able to make the light start blinking, but as soon as I start the car, it will go solid within 2 seconds.

So I finally started the car, and do the tab 6 times, and it started blinking and stayed that way. Went for a drive 45 mph cruise control within 2 miles, my light is off. So I turn around a drive back to the house, and just before I got there the light came on solid. Pump all the tires up back to 35 psi, and wentfor the same drive. within 1 mile, light when off and I think it is going to stay off.

thanks again for all the help, especially Modme. Where can I paypal you? PM me.

You got it! Glad it worked out!

You guys are not going to believe it. So apparently this post has been passed around and around. I got an email from Directed, the manufacture for aftermarket alarms and remote starts. They are distributing the exact information that i posted on the first page to people that have TPMS problems.

I got plagiarized by Directed!

That's awesome. You should get sponsored by them or royalties!

What's an aftermarket tpms? As long as you are using the car's OEM receiver and TPMS light, then this will work.
