Could you clarify this step. Is this connection being split and one end being grounded (which end)?. If not, then is the goal to just ground out this wire intact (white and yellow wires not separated).

Or, am I reading this all wrong and the connection is already separated and the white connector is the female end? I suppose not having an actual car to look at makes this a bit more difficult to understand.

 

The yellow wire was added by me. The plug is taped to the OBD connector harness. I cut loose the plug and inserted the yellow wire to ground the plug.

 

I see... So this connector isn't normally attached to anything.. Just taped to the obd harness. Thanks!

 

thanks modme!!! i just tried this a few minutes ago and it worked. i finally have no extra lights on in my car. after 3 years of owning it. (i had a cel from the tp since i installed them a few months after purchasing the car and then i got the slip vlsd from my brakes and the tpms just came recently) but they are all gone now!! thank you again

Not, it has been answered many times this is if you are replacing your existing TPMS with new units... simple tire rotation will not need it.

Can this relearn method be used by lowering the air pressure in just one tire to 26 psi or less rather than changing the pressure in all 4 tires?

Does it work on a 2006 g35?

Its pretty cold outside and the tpms battery sensor light is back on. (paid $150 for the diagnosis last time) but the d'ship just reset it and its been fine for a year. I'm hoping to reset it myself and say myself some money this time.

Also my second question is why do we have to take the air out in the first place?

Why not just let the system reset itself and wait for the (i) to go out instead of having it to come back a second time for low a.pressure.

 

It worked for me... things I had learned:
after KEOO, start tapping immediately..and make sure it flashes for 1+ minutes..then drive for 5-10 minutes. (That's AFTER making sure the tires are accurately set to the pressures mentioned in post #1)
