I'm surprised he didn't black out his face for that reason.

TWM Short-Throw Shifter

I have to say... totally shocked at how small this is.

And totally psyched to have it installed next month, along with that Z1 Transmission mount.

Maybe you just have really big hands?!?! That's what my wife always says about me... Or maybe she's just being nice.

Btw, your monitor set-up looks just like mine, except I've got dual Dell 24 inchers (oh and my wall paper is an En Rouge right now, but it used to be an F-Type ;-). Just out of curiosity, what kind of dual monitor mount are you using? I've got an Ergotron and absolutely love it!

No, I've got little Donald Trump hands. Or maybe they're just normal hands. IDK. Shifter sure is small, though, isn't it?

The monitor mount? Nothing but desk. It's a cheap corner unit, and the monitors are raised up so center screen is at eye-height.

They're both 24", but the old 16:10 aspect ratio at 1920x1200 each. Seems everything went 16:9 some years ago. Should the day come (when the day comes) that it needs to get replaced, there are some really amazing screens out there... curved, double-wide, etc. I almost wish one of these would give up the ghost.

Out of view and to the left is another little screen on a separate laptop, with a second 19" monitor attached to that. It's command central, baby!

Yes, it does look quite small. But then again, it is a short throw shifter, so isn't it supposed to be smaller than the stock one... I actually don't think it's any smaller than the aftermarket adjustable shifter that I have in my Porsche. I know it doesn't seem like your getting your money's worth, but just think of it as weight savings too!

3 monitors! No wonder why you are so efficient. My office monitors are probably 7 or 8 years old, but they are both 16:9 with 2048x1152 resolution (for full 2K resolution). Whereas the newer monitors I have at home (a 24" and 27") are 16:10 and 16x9 respectively. They are also Dell UltraSharp monitors, but with a 1920x1200 and 2560x1440 resolution. There isn't much difference between the two in vertical resolution, but there's a large difference in horizontal resolution. Below Is a pic for reference. Incidentally, I still prefer my old monitors that I have at my office for some reason.

Although not electronic, that pair of arms qualifies in my book as hardware ****. The way I (conservatively) budget and plan for car parts... I used to do that with computer parts. These days, I just buy as much hardware as a couple grand can get out of DELL, and call it a day.

Back to car stuff... I asked someone recently to measure their OEM shifter arm, because it was out of the car, and it measured at 9.5". This new TWM arm measures at 9.0"... which is a 0.5" drop in keeping with *half* of their marketing. The other half of their marketing claims a 0.25" drop. IDK which to believe, even though it's a moot point because whatever it is, it is.

Figure 2 to 4 weeks from now, and I'll have it installed, along with the Z1 Transmission mount. I'm pretty psyched.

I wonder who you asked to measure their OEM shift lever...
