As always, another step ahead (even if you thought you took a step back there).
Nice job!

Looking good man I also agree the chrome rings look better. It makes them pop out a bit more.

Thanks, Kenny.

The plan is to paint the headlight housing gunmetal, while retaining the chrome ring around the projector, and the half-ring around the turn-signal. So that decision, in conjunction with the car being Moonlight White, that's the rationale behind liking the chrome rings better.

If the car were dark and trim black, then black rings for sure.

Passenger fog is in place, after more than a few setbacks, considering what a PITA it is to do the passenger side. All told, I'm very happy with the refreshed look. And I'm very happy to be going back to chrome rings.

And it looks good when lit, as well. However I can't figure out how to take a realistic picture of the color when lit. Because I swear it looks orange to the eye, but the camera keeps picking it up as yellow.

But here's the picture anyway:

I sold the black rings to lobuzz311. They may look better on his Graphite Shadow Sedan, with the black grille. Or it may not. We'll see soon enough.

Props to 4DRZ for the heads-up. Unless I hate it... then he gets all the blame.

Next up, a short-throw shifter sometime in April.

Wow, that's a very pretty piece! Are you just waiting for it to warm up before you install it, or do you want to wait and install it at the same time as your STS?

That second thing.

In big rounded numbers, $200/month for 3 months: Mount + STS + Install.

Muhahaha my plan is almost complete. I cannot believe you actually bought that part sucka!

Actually, I think you will dig it. The shifter dancing around and the engagement point of the clutch were the two most glaring things on the car to me that needed to be fixed. Fortunately, they are both pretty easy to fix. Now if we could just convince someone to get motor mounts who would then talk us into getting them, we would be all set.

You guys are funny. I won't lie, pretty psyched for this and the STS.

4DRZ, pretty sure you'll get the motor mounts before I will. Spring is in the air, man.

Not buying it until next month, but I'm planning on TWM. And for no specific reason I can offer, except that every time I researched this, I kept coming away more comfortable with TWM than B&M or Stillen.

Why? The buy is still a few weeks out... got any advice?

No, I think I am good for a while. I just blew my wad on a whole bunch of parts to get the car ready for a track day in April. My bank account is crying right now.

I really like the B&M shifter I got if you are still considering it. I initially liked the fact that aside from Hurst, B&M is a big company when it comes to shifters and has much more experience that just about anyone else. As a result, the parts are extremely high quality. It was a pretty tight shift at first and took a little while to wear in, but now the quality feels like an OEM part, just a lot shorter and better shift. It is also the first aftermarket shifter I have ever installed that the bushings don't annoyingly rattle every time you get to highway speeds.

I love my TWM, and I too chose TWM due to majorty of the reviews I found were written on their STS. I have 0 regrets going with TWM. Great company, sent me the wrong shift boot and rather than having me ship it back, they said keep it and here's a full refund. That, too me, is customer service at its finest.

I haven't heard any ratteling or anything. I can send a video of the shifter at highway speed with no music. That way you can see the vibration and hear the lack of rattles.

That's quite a testimonial. Did your TWM have to wear-in, the way 4DRZ's B&M did?
