blt will probably have a much better response, and correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding the stretch/bulge will only affect sidewall (significantly) if it's above or below the recommended tire width for the rim width. The recommended range tends to be roughly 30mm wide anyways so I don't see that making a huge difference as long as it's within spec.
Thanks for the picture. I was actually planning on getting the Firehawk Indy 500s since I haven't found a "do not buy these" review and they are so much more cost-effective.

The Firehawk Indy 500s are supposedly a rebranded Bridgestone RE003 sold everywhere else, which is the successor to the RE001/RE760 previously sold here.. Can't speak to the actual rubber compound itself, but the tread is identical.

Firestone actually has a $50 rebate offer on those through 4/18.

Check this site first since it's an actual Nissan dealer, only a few bucks more and they should be able to tell you the true availability of these wheels.
https://www.nissanpartswebstore.com/...001EA2510.html

Found those a couple years back for an even better deal but no one was able to land them.
G/L and let us know what you find out.
Finally heard back from this dealer . . . no stock nationwide.

A set of 19 x 9 wheels with +40 offset and 255/40 tires should fit a G37xS sedan on factory suspension, correct? From my math I should have 16mm less inside clearance and extend an extra 22mm towards the fender.

I was just taking a look at these . . .

I'll do a deeper search when I get a chance but, I think it's just a load & inflation table for passenger vehicles that I found online. One that specifies tire dimensions and psi for each given load rating. I think it was this?

Bad news, they make the wheel in 19x9 +40, but not in the bolt pattern I need.

It looks like my options are 19x9 +45 OR 19x8.5 +35.

Thoughts?

What wheels are you wanting? Might be another brand w/ a similar look w/ better specs.

I was hoping to order a set from TireRack today to take advantage of their Michelin tire rebate . . . their options are limited I'm afraid.

I would go 8.5. 255s will fit nice and chunky on them without ballooning. I still regret getting 9.5 +35 over 8.5 +30s.

Well, I ended up wimping out and going with 19x8.5 +45 wheels and 245/40 rubber based on an extended conversation with a specialist at TireRack. The 8.5" wheel WILL except 255/40 rubber, however, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ rubber I chose runs wide, their 245/40 size is wider than some company's 255/40. So we'll see how it goes, I figure I can always throw on 255/40 rubber next time if the ride is too harsh with the decreased sidewall of the 245/40. After all, it only took me 14,000 miles to wear a set of 225/50 Conti Extreme Contact DWS 06 tires down to 3/10ths.

Curious if I can fit a 275/40 all around? My concern is more with fitting up front. Wheel specs are 18x9.5 +35. 2013 x-coupe lowered on swift springs. Thanks in advance.

Do you mind elaborating on why you feel that way? I thought that 19x9.5 +35 would be a nice fit with 255/40 rubber.

19x9.5 +35 fits well, but 275s fit better on them. 255 has a slight stretched look I'm not a fan of. For 255s I'd go with 8.5 for a square shouldered look.

When I bought my wheels I insisted on 9.5s all around, and the vendor said "are you sure???" I should have listeneed. Wound up having to get spacers and longer studs which added a lot of cost and made me nervous about fitment.
