Hey guys, I recently picked up a set of 18x9.5 +38 set of Niche Verona wheels for my G37xS. Got them for really cheap. More than half the original price brand new.

Down sizing from 20x9 +35 running 245/35/20 on all 4 corners. What tires should I run for the 18s?

First Question is how will these sit in the wheel well? I have a set of 5mm spacers at home sitting in the garage as well as 20mm spacers on the rear for my 20s at the moment.

I really want to have a meaty (Fat) tire stance now. I really want the comfort in the ride back.

Below I attached a picture of the 20s. They have a 20mm spacer on the rear with -2 degrees camber all around with rear camber kit. I've had the same tires for 2 years with camber wear showing now.

On your sedan they'll fit just about perfect as far as being flush. I'd run a slightly stretched 245/45/18 on the front, or no wider than a 255/45. If you still want to run wide in back a 275/40 will work, just have a slightly different look at the sidewalls front to back. Ryne runs staggered tires on the same width rims with good results.

What offset should I run and tire size ??
Also I have had my rear fenders rolled already for this application to work and I will be doing a 1.5 -2 ich drop on it thanks

 

sedan or coupe? check the first couple pages of this thread for tbulsara and mylilg sedans, they have 10.5s all around.

looking into getting a set of Niche Surge M112's 20x10.5 squared with 245/35/20---

or:

vossen cv4's 20x10.5 squared on 255/35/20 (they belong to Refdire32 currently)

I wanted to know how each of these would fit? I dont mind a little poke but nothing major, and im also looking to avoid any rubbing issues. If i were to get wider tires, say, 255 in the front but go up to 275 or 285 in the rear, would they sit more flush? any recommendations would be helpful. also, i figured since im only on springs, i could avoid any camber issues, but not 100% clear on that either.

It all comes down to the wheels offset, and you'd probably have to trim the rear fender bracket. Those 10.5 +25s on 275s is very aggressive, running 255s all around would give you some room to work with, and bumping the offset to +30 to +35 would give you more room to run wider tires.

 

wow cant believe i forgot to mention the offsets...

but for the Niche Surge M112's its 20x10.5 ET 30 (currently has 245s all around)

And for the CV4s its 20x10.5 et 25.

so if i were to want to run wider tires, the Niche's would be a better way to go?

You'll have 5mm more room to work with if you go w/ Niche setup. Since they already have 245s you'd have an easy time seeing how wide you can go once you get them installed. I think at least a 255 should work but
FWIW I wouldn't recommend that much of a stretch on 10.5s the 255s is as narrow as I'd feel good about running.

Just curious what's the most aggressive setup you can run rim width wise when it comes to a square setup without having to roll fenders or run stretched tires?

My tire vendor is advising nothing wider than a 9" rim without having to roll fenders on a lowered G Sedan and I'm not interested in stretching tires because just wouldn't feel confident driving at highway speeds or hard cornering.

Can I run 10" or 10.5" square setup without having to roll fenders, or stretch tires? My G Sedan is lowered on Swifts.

 

In the first postings from Chinky Choy, that's about as aggressive as I'd run, anything wider would result in stretched tires. His 9.5" setups run 245/40/19s and this is just slightly stretched but perfectly safe as a 9.5" rim is still in the recommended wheel width for a 245.

 

This setup is ALMOST perfect for my 6MT sedan in terms of look. But i'm only going 20x9.5 square. I don't want any spacers and i'd like a tiny bit less stetch on this tire. I'm going with TSW Mirabeau if available in this size. What offset/tire would mimic this closely. I'd like to keep the ride quality as close to stock as possible so will only be dropping about an 1.5 / 1 inch Front/Rear respectively but looking for offset and tire size to put on all 4 corners.

Any help is appreciated. I've read almost everything and I still can't find exactly what I am hoping to do.... Thanks!

A 10.5 +27 will be the same at the fender as a 9.5 +13, most of the common wheels available (including those TSW Mirabeau) won't have that aggressive offset. If you go w/ a higher cost wheel such as Work, Volk, Weds, Rays you should find more wheels in that offset range or ones that you can get an exact offset. I'd look for a 9.5 +20 and run a 245/40/19 to get a look similar to the above w/a bit of wiggle room.
