Yeah, the 255s is a natural fit on a 9.5" but even a 245 on a 9.5" is still within the recommended rim range for that tire size. It's a very mild stretch so you will have the benefit of a more stable sidewall. Typically the 245/40/19 is also a more common size so finding just about any tire is a bit easier than a 255/40.

I am still gonna go 255/40. I have found a few in that size and I want a wider tire without having to roll fenders. I'd love to rock like 265's but I think I would run into rubbing issues and it would throw the speedo off too much. The 255's are only off a fraction

I see. My buddy was running slightly stretched tires on his 350z when he had it, and he told me a mild stretch is nothing to worry. I just wanted to be sure. As long as it's safe I don't mind buying the more widely available tire.

I'd check around and see what's out there, might find exactly what you want in the 255, but if not, the 245/40 is a fine alternative.

Looks like the Ventus V12s, Pilot super sports, and the S-04 pole positions are all available in 255/40/19. I'm on Swifts so the drop is mild. I doubt there will be rubbing with these. Lots of guys seem to run 255s as well. I'll think it over and pull the trigger. Much appreciated blnewt. I'm sure I'd save a few $$ with the 245s.

I'd check tirerack.com or even shoot Neal@Tirerack a PM, sometimes certain sizes are great deals so you may get lucky and find 255s for less than 245s, you never know.

I have a '12 G37xS coupe. Stock suspension currently. I found a decent deal on a set of Vossens with the below specs that I'm interested in

20" x 10.5 +25 square setup
255/30/20 front
275/30/20 rear

Would this setup work w/o having to use spacers, roll fenders, or add camber? I have plans to drop the car w/ coils, but that is several months down the road. And I dont plan on slamming it and only want to lessen wheel gap, since I have to park in a gravel lot and off pavement frequently. Seller shows pictures of them mounted on a G37 and show them clearing Akebonos, so clearing the calipers shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks in advance!

It would be best to run either a staggered wheels setup or run all the same tire sizes on those wheels. The combo you listed is 1.8% diameter variance
front to back. With your AWD you really want to be as close to zero variance as you can, anything over 1% may cause issues at higher speeds, and there are staggered combos as low as 0.07% which is ideal.

I'd look for something a bit less aggressive (more positive offset) all around or look into a staggered setup.
Use this calculator when trying various tire combos

Also this thread has some good ideas for running square,
https://www.myg37.com/forums/brakes-...post-here.html

Here's a couple in that thread that may be close to what you're after, I'd shoot a PM to those guys for specifics

To Blnewt or anyone else

I'm looking at the Tsw Bathurst 19's for a 37s coupe and I'm having difficulty. On the Elementwheels website it recommends 19x8 35 offset and 19X9.5 40 offset, but I want to run on 245/275 on a fairly flush setup with no drop. What is the recommended set up for this with the TSW bathurst wheels?

Thanks

Or 19x8 35 offset for front with 245/35/19
and 19x9 30 offset for rear with 275/30/19

It's a bit odd they don't offer the 19x8.5 in a better offset, only a +15 is showing up. The 275 is a better mount on a 9.5 so I think I'd recommend that over the 9" even though the 9" has the better offset.
So the 8 +35 & 9.5 +40 is what I'd go with unless you contact TSW and see if any other offsets are available. You'd probably want a small spacer front and back, in the 5 to 10mm range.

Is there any other wheels you happen to like, might find a better fit
The Niche Essen is similar and has better offsets in a 19x8.5/10" combo

Essen - M146 - Niche Wheels
M146 - Essen SPECS
Thanks very much for your input. That's disappointing to hear though the offsets are not available in the specs I want.
