for that 5mm difference it shouldn't rub on anything, but you probably have to test fit as it will depend on the specific height you have your BCs at and the specific tire (i.e. does it have a wide shoulder block)..

Tires are Firestone 500s if that helps. Getting an oil change Friday so having my mechanic rotate tires and install spacers since it'll be on the lift anyway. Gonna raise it up .5" as well so I have less butt clench over bumps.
I will make my intro shortly but a little background is that I'm newbie here but used to be in G35 Driver back in 06. Picked up 2012 G37 Sedan in 2014 with the duckfeet wheels.
Anyways, didn't mod until recently and lurked the forum looking for a roof spoiler that morphed into tanabe axle back, 12" vibrants resonators, universal rear diffuser (temporarily until Auto Kits X gets their service better), and now this, HA! getting ready to pull the trigger on 19" wheels.
Sorry if this was covered before, but would I have issues with this set up? Also, I'm assuming I have the big brakes? 2012 G37 Sedan Auto, I think it's Journey Sport?
Niche Essen M147 Black (19X8.5+35 Square)
Lexani Twenty tires 255x40x19 (Square)
I's still on the fence if I want to go staggered with more meat in the rears like 275s but that would mean I would need some camber, springs or coilvers? I'm trying to really not lower the car, since I scraped the bottom of my 06 G35 back in the days....But we'll see. Looks like it's between Swift or Eibach springs are pretty common here nowadays.
Forgive me if this has been beaten to death, but my brain is all mush from reading for 4 weeks . Now, I can't even recall which ones were old and new info. Don't know how to stop the mod bug again LoL.
Thanks in advance G37 peeps!

Reason: added big brakes question
You THINK it's a Sport? We think your wheels might fit...
Dude, find out for SURE. It's very simple. Is there an "S" on the trunk lid following the G37 lettering? if so, there will be "Infiniti" lettering on the calipers.

Reread everything so there's less mush.
Yes there is an "S" badge but did not want to rely solely on just that, since there's some debadging going on in my G when I bought it. Plus I thought the sports was only offered in manual. Anyways, the "Infiniti" lettering confirms it, that was the distinction I was looking for, thank you!
After taking a break from rereading here. It is now clear to me that I would go with the staggered set up. So after gathering all the info and granted that I used the wheel calculators correctly, these fitment should fit my car (if anyone can confirm that would be awesome):
I'm also leaning towards Swift springs in the near future.
CarID has options to ship these wheels/tires installed, including lugs and balance. TPMS are extras but even with those, it's pretty decent price. So all I got to do is replace these with the current set-up and reprogram TPMS. Now, I have no idea how much that would cost, hopefully not that much lol.
Ok so I got a G37x awd coupe and I’m trying to get a set of built wheels and need help with size and offset. I know squared set ups are preferred but I know staggered can be run. I have the fly1 motorsports 12mm wider front fenders. I was thinking of doing 19x10/19x11 but not sure on offset. I also have to clear the sport brakes. I would like to run fender to lip fitment while bagged. Thanks for help in advance
Research has been solid, mostly decided but one question remains on tire size. Wheels are 18x9.5 +35. I want to keep close diameter (Sport sedan rwd 6mt w/duckfeet). I wanted to go all square on 255/40 all season pilot sports. Will the front be too far off and affect acceleration or top end? Should i do a 45 series in the front?
I've got a stock suspension G37s 6mt coupe, and am looking to buy my first set of wheels and tires. I am looking for the best performance and as close to flush as possible without having to do any fender mods. I am looking to lower slightly (less than or about an inch) in the next year or so on cloilovers. I was planning on getting some ESR RF2 19/9.5+22 with 255/40/19 and 19/10.5+22 with 275/35/19 and from what I have seen that should fit without any fender mods at stock height and slightly lowered. Are these the best offsets for my goals? The wheels also come in 9.5+35 and 10.5+30. Would either of these offsets allow me to run wider tires? Whats ideal size for a 9.5 or 10.5 tire? Do I need any wider tires? Car makes 313 whp so not much more than stock.
Planning on buying a set of 20x9 +38 offset. 2 good tires at 245/35/20, 2 will need replaced so I assume I can buy new summer tires and make it work. Do you know how well these will fit on an X sedan? Not lowered currently, but will probably get a good set of coils soon. Also Recommendations on a tire size(s) that will work well with awd with those 20s?
Hate making a newbie post after I’ve tore into this car inside and out over 4yrs, but I know nothing about wheels/tires lol. I know my fitment in 18s and 19s, but recently considered 20s and a few days later a nice set pops up locally. Advice is appreciated, thanks.
Also sorry for multi posts, I’ll request a mod to delete all said and done. Just hoping for quick reply.
Also these things are 37lbs takes me back to my original plan of “make it look nice, performance is a waste”. I assume that much material should hold up well though. But they’re sexy and a great deal.
I have a 2013 G37x sedan and it's time to replace the stock tires. I'm planning to go with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+, but I figured it would also be the perfect time to upgrade the stock rims as well, so I plan to upsize to 18". The tire width issue is easy enough -- I'm going to go with a square setup, either 225/50/18 or 245/45/18 all around. Despite a lot of research and playing around with calculators, though, the wheel width and offset is still a bit confusing to me.
Apparently if I stick with 225 width tires the ideal rim width is 7.5" (just like stock) and if I go to 245 width tires the ideal rim width would be 8.5". I've been browsing options on Tirerack and they seem to offer rims with 7.5", 8.0", or 8.5" widths that would fit. I have a few questions, though:
(1) If I got an 8.0" width rim, would that be better to use with a 225 or 245 width tire? Apparently the ideal tire width would be 235 but the tires I want don't come in that width with a near-equivalent-to-stock diameter, so that's not really an option for me.
(2) Regardless of rim width, the ideal offset to use is +45 just like the stock rims, right? According to the calculator and what I've learned online, any other offset would change my scrub radius, and that sounds like something I want to avoid.
(3) I've seen plenty of people on the 18" wheel thread post width/offset specs that are pretty different from what I have gathered would be ideal, though (wider tires with skinnier wheels, wider wheels with skinnier tires, more aggressive offsets, etc.), so are these parameters not as big a deal as I'm thinking they are? Of course I like the look of wider tires and wheel offsets, but my number one concern is not doing anything to negatively affect the handling of the car.
TL;DR: I'm going from stock 17" wheels/tires to 18". According to my research, if I stick with 225 width tires I should also stick with 7.5" rims, and if I go to 245 width tires I should go with 8.5" rims. Regardless of width, the ideal wheel offset is +45 as anything else will change the stock scrub radius. Am I oversimplifying this/limiting myself, though? The 18" wheel thread suggests that I actually have many other rim width/offset options, but is it correct to assume that the specs I outlined above are optimal for performance and handling?
Thanks for your help, guys!

Reason: Added a summary (long post)
Hey guys, I have eyes on a set of rims. Specs are 19x8.5 +35 offset. I think I will be running 245/40 tires, unless otherwise?. For now it will be on stock suspension. Is there any issues I should be aware of and what kind of fitment can I expect once I lower it mildly say 1-1.5". Thanks in advance.
Tire fitment 19x9.5 wheels on a lowered G37x Sedan
Hey guys fault new to the group and I just have a few questions if you guys don’t mind. I have 12 G37x sedan, just got some swift springs in and my 19x9.5 wheels are scheduled to be delivered this coming Friday but I’m unsure if I should run 255/40 or 245/40 squared for the tires size. Any help would be great thanks in advance.
