Aggressive stance help

Hi I’m brand new, got a ‘12 XS sedan completely stock. 225/50R18. I think it’s +45 offset or maybe +48. Looks very grandma-ish. Ordered eibach springs and I want/need a square setup for convenience(rotating, etc. daily driver) and due to awd. I like my tires fat baby. Im thinking a 19x9.5 or 19x10 all around. I’ve done a lot of research and haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for. I mainly need tire size and wheel offset help. I want minimal to no stretch, and I like a flush look or even a little pokey at the fender. Nothing that’s gonna sling everything on the sides of my car but I like the wide aggressive stance. Help me out guys please I love you all.

I have a g37xs coupe dropped on swift springs, can someone recommend what size tires would work the best for these wheels?

I saw from a previous post, someone else with an X and swift springs, using 245/45/18 tires - but they seem stretched to me.

Will going from 18s from the stock 19s mess with the odometer much?

thank you in advance!
You can run up to a 275/40/18 all around but wider tires are more prone to tramlining. You also want to keep your diameter pretty close to stock, but running a square setup you can go up to 3% from OEM diameter.
Using a 245/40/19 as your baseline you can 255/40 (about 1% off), 265/40 (about 1.4%) 275/40 (about 0.25%). If you can find a tire in that 265/40 I'd go that size but 265s aren't as common so tire variety might be lacking.

You can run a 9.5 +40 on 255/40 all around, that would be a good flush fit. 10" wide wheels in front on a sedan can run into clearance problems at the steering arm since the offset has to be very positive to keep inside the fender. I run 18x9.5 +38 on 245s but can go out to a 255 (and ran 285 in back until I had a tire fail and had to go back to 245s, lol)

Rims
A 19" question. I posted a question above, but the whole package is pretty pricey. As I am sitting around thinking about it, I lookef around on line. I came across a used Rays Volk Racing 19" set available locally. They are 19 X 8.0 and 19 X 8.5. The offset is very aggressive at 30mm.

Any opinions on the wheels and what size tires to use? I don't want ANY poke and I am not really interested in the flush look. I just want a full looking wheel well.

2013 G37X with no BBK, although I am looking that in the future. No drop currently, but I do want coilovers and a small drop of about one inch.

Thanks!

Shane D

PS: I can't find them on the Rays site?

There's a few sedans w/ them here
https://www.google.com/search?q=19%2...w=1252&bih=554
If you can find 235/40/19s in a tire you like I'd go w/ that size all around, the 1/2" stagger is minimal and keeping all 4 of the same would be best w/ youe AWD.

Thanks for the reply and the pics. I don't really like the look of them on the car. No use saving money if you're not in love with the wheel.

Bore

Hello all. I found a nice looking wheel and all the specs seemed to match up nicely except, the bore is 73.1mm vs the stock bore of 66.1mm.

Is this a problem for suitability?

Thank you.

I have a 2014 Q60S 6MT (g37 coupe) with the stock enkei wheels. I would like to upgrade to something wider and lighter. Handling is my main focus, rather than flush or anything. Just no poke, and would rather not do any trimming or pulling. I was thinking of running either:

245/40R19 front and 275/35R19 rear
or
255/40R19 front and 285/35R19 rear.

What rim width and offset would work best for my coupe to handle the best? Also, I am on the stock suspension with coilovers waiting to go on when I find the time.

I mostly go for spirited cruises down back roads and try to get to a track day at least once a year just for fun. May try autocross at some point, just for fun. I know a big GT coupe will never compete with miatas and corvettes.

I was leaning towards:
19x8.5 +35 front; 19x9.5 +35 rear
or
19x9 +35 front; 19x10 + 35 rear

Any clearance issues with the akebono brakes?

I'd look for a 19x8.5 in a +25 to +30 on 245/40 front & 19x10.5 +40 on 285/35/19 rear, the front & rear tire diameters will be real close and the fit at the fender will be good.
As far as clearing the big brakes, you MUST confirm with vendor on that.

Thanks, blnewt. Is 10.5 the recommended rim width for 285 tires?

285s is a perfect mount on 10 to 10.5s.

Gonna have to stretch them out in the back I'm afraid, and maybe some camber, fronts will be ok w/ a standard mount. Something like a 245/35 front 255/35 rear
