What did you do to your Sedan today?
Well, I'm driving a company car now so I can park the G for a while. Lots of nit-noid things that I didn't get to or didn't do as well as I would have liked for ZNationals last year.
On the other hand - SC is basically having Alderaan weather at the moment. Wonder if one of those giant swamp coolers would help...

HAHA. I've got until October I think unless we get hammered by (multiple) hurricanes this year. Still need to figure out how to get it into an air-conditioned garage so that working on it isn't risking heatstroke.
So I have 4 Walmart fans in my garage for when I turn on my engine. Placed in the right locations I have jet streams of air circulation. Still sucks, S. FL aint any cooler.
S FL and coastal SC are about the same, IMHO. It gets way hotter here than compared to the rest of the state. Y'all probably see another 10F, and ironically swamp coolers don't actually work in the swamp... where we both live LOL.
[QUOTE=iCrap;4312096]I ended up 3D printing a bracket for my floppy Z1 intakes. I don't understand how they expect it to just flop around in there, expected better for $500. Anyways. They don't move now, just a simple L bracket and i tapped an m6 hole and thread into the bumper bar.
Then I reassembled everything again and gave it a clean. not bad looking for 16 years old engine bay I guess lol.
Any change I could get the .stl file you used? I need to brace them too. I hate that they just are loose in there.

here ya go. (attached)
I designed it so that it fits around the actual filter, and then you use the clamp they give you and feed it through the opening of the bracket. drill and tap an m6 hole into your bumper bar and screw it down

I re-did the chrome delete last week because it was peeling, like this:

This is the first time I've ever done any wrapping and it wasn't one of those pre-cut things.

Also, today I got the serpentine belt replaced. Not sure if the old one was ever changed but the car has about 90k miles. Here's the old one:

I heard a squeal once when I shut off the car. Couldn't reproduce it. Thanks again to the typical top tier guidance of @projectpanda13 I discovered the belt could probably be replaced. Had no idea it was that bad.
the squeal could also be pulleys or your rad fans if it still does it. i replaced everything except the rad fans, and of course now those sqeak a bit when i shut the car off.... can't win.
Decided to tackle the ever increasing presence of fog on my headlights today. They were not that bad compared to some other G's that I have seen but I decided to wet sand, compound, polish, and ceramic coat them. I have to say that I am quite impressed on how they turned out. They look pretty much brand new. ^^before and after pics
Today I tacked both front CV axles. reading old posts on the forum made me think it was going to be hell, but honestly this was 10x easier than the diff job.
Passenger side was easy, since it slides into the transmission. Driver side was a bit harder, (but nowhere near as hard as people made it seem), since it has 6 bolts with not much access. I managed to cut the boot off and then wiggle an extension into place.
Found this video on youtube and did exactly what he did to remove the axle for the passenger side, worked in 2 seconds!

Came out great. My hazy headlights are starting to take their toll on me…
