Too small for my new phone. Old phone was V30+, new is S21 Ultra. This caused it to droop easily, especially when hitting a bump too hard.
Foam pads kept coming off, even after trying to glue them back on. The way it's made makes it difficult to really glue them back on well.
It was very annoying trying to get the clip adjusted just right to the point it holds the phone securely but it's easy enough to take the phone out, and as a result that's how the foam pads got messed up (hitting bumps too hard while it was securely holding phone).
For that reason and because this is the only other option made for the proclip I have, I am trying the one that automatically grabs the phone.
I'm not 100% sold on it now that I have it, and it's difficult to hardwire this with the things I currently have down there unless I want to connect the USB cable to the Garmin adapter I have hidden away near the BCM.
I'm probably going to just leave it like this, because I don't need anything in that area with the cigg lighter, the new adapter is very small and actually fits in there and tucks away well, and even if I get a custom mount for AirLift in the future I can just get one that has a 12v socket on it.
I did buy a right angle USB C adapter and a 6" USB C cable to replace the really long cable with a right angle termination which was included with the charger. Now it looks a lot neater than having a long cable hanging around and I didn't have to ziptie it up and leave it hanging behind the charger.
I also replaced the cabin air filter.

Finally got a retune. The motordyne intake manifold really shows with that gradual drop off starting above 5200. It gives that kick down low and in the mid, where it matters in my opinion.
Made power across the curve. Picked up 50b-ft at 2950 rpm and 20 HP. The uprev ARC features are a little silly, but the rolling launch control is very welcome, and the rolling antilag launch is just fun. 301 AWD ponies is more than enough to have a blast.
Top is the old tune with just ypipe back exhaust and short rams. Note they start and end at different RPMs. I asked for a more conservative tune with the new upgrades, so I'm sure there's a bit more that can be squeezed out, but I'm not trying to set any records here lol.
How does launch control work on the auto AWD? brake stand? and what does rolling launch actually do?
Oh, I misworded that. It's like a rolling launch, and then there is an anti-lag-sounding launch if you hold down the cancel button. To launch from a standstill though, I normally brake hold. I don't like to launch it too often.
I fixed it.
Knocked out the shift boot and **** install, big thanks to RMB5190 for the muscle, moral support, and vice grips.
This was me as a passenger in his 6th gen Mustang:
The result: OEM 350Z shift **** in black (the base of the **** is exact same shape and size as the G35/37 one) and Redline shift boot in black suede (3-panel). Also had to cover the shifter bezel in 3m brushed metal vinyl to hide the shift pattern. Overall very happy, kept a factory appearance, no more plasticy shift boot making noises during long road trips, finally the shift pattern is on the **** itself (where I’ve always preferred it), and to me the black gives the cabin a nice contrast.
Two dudes grunting in a small cabin over a ****...one working the base while the other took care of the head. We struggled but in the end....got it off.
Magical
Joking aside, the stock shifter was a d.ck. Enough loctite to hold a NASA rocket together. Turned out super clean though; the black ties in with the other colors of the center console. OEM Z **** was a good choice; retained the OEM look but definitely a solid upgrade compared to the stock shifter.
Ha ha! The Mustang rolls out! Not sure if you're scared or having fun... More than likely both but it sure is addicting going WOT in that car.

I'm sure a ported HR plenum would yield closer numbers up top or is the one you installed ported?

That turned out a whole lot better than my initial pessimism was predicting, black on stone and all that. Well done. Particularly the detail with the matte silver wrap on the bezel.

It's the motordyne one, it's a ported HR manifold. A VHR one would give more up top, another 20 HP or so, but I would lose about 15 in the mid. I prefer it this way. Plus, this lets me run a single catch can.
SO a plain HR manifold would make the VHR suffer. I totally get your point of view, VHRs are useless under 4k rpm which.
I can just imagine a motordyne VHR auto on a 3.69 rear tuned, would make city driving really interesting. (I know you're AWD)
