Got the call from the collision center. Total loss. Car has frame damage. $20K track day. Going to see what I can get for it as scrap. If anyone wants my wheels/tires I'll let them go for $1000. I also have an uninstalled Y-pipe and silicone intake tubes.
Sorry to hear that man.

F*** that's terrible

Crazy how what seems like minor damage adds up so quick.

Sorry Future.

I've done some track events before but never in my own car. Only thing I am nervous about is the brakes. Just going to ease in and see what the G will do. If that vid is any indication I needn't worry......
You even prepped yourself too....

It’s crazy how it adds up.... remember 4DRZ was quoted $5300 for the bottom half of a seat.

True, passenger side airbag sensor requires the entire seat bottom to the tune of over $9,000.

This just happened to me when trying to get my exhaust off. Those bolts are no joke!

My cameras focus decided to quit its job and go dance naked for a living.

So no photos But the Michelins are on the car and they look great. Take my word for it lol. They feel fantastic. Firm, but not rough. I wish I could have gotten the Pilot Sport 4S, but with not a single tire in a 300km radius around me available, I'll have to be happy with the AS3+ for now. Still running them on my poopy winter 18's. Spent all my budget on other things, so no new wheels this year

I just got some VMR 710 wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 245/45/18 tires. All new brakes going on and ordered a Stillen catback exhaust and Hotchkis sway bars. My car is a 2012 G37x sedan, white with black interior and tinted windows. I will post a pic when all is done.

Wow, must've really smacked that front end solid
Sucks to hear that, and w/ no insurance help that's really tough to deal with.
All the best through this Future, and what exactly happened prior to the point of impact, were the tires pushed too hard or something else that caught you off guard??

Damn I didn't even know there was track day insurance. Couldn't you just tell your insurance company that you slid out on a slick road or something like that.

I am not of the opinion of the G37 being a great track car, but mine is a std G37s with just Z1 Sub Frame mounts. I feel it is too heavy and the automatic is slow to respond.

I was wondering what would be a great daily/track car at a budget, now there is the Miata, but it isn't something a lot of people would drive daily. There is the S2000, which would be good. I think the Volkswagen GTIs would be decent, while they are FWD, you can rotate the tires, making your tires last longer, they aren't super heavy and the Dual Clutch one is supposed to be a fast gearbox. A BMW 330i from 2003-2005 would be pretty good, if you reinforce the sub frame, but they are heavy as well. You could always remove the spare, the jack, and put in a lighter battery to bring it down to say 3300 or so. The 2007-2011 esp the 335i should be pretty amazing track cars the chassis is more rigid than the earlier models.

Yeah, and that's insurance fraud. It would be super easy for them to figure it out considering he just posted it online and told us, plus they could probably easily figure out he was registered for a track day.
