So believe it or not, my Japanese bulbs came in before my TRS bulbs. The bulbs were the exact same type that I needed and snapped right into place. They are also waaaaaaay brighter than the stock amber bulbs when lit.
As you can see, super JDM, bro.
And just a quick before and after comparison:
Stock amber 7440 bulb:
Philips Silver-Vision bulb:
I figure that for the money, this really cleans up the look of the car without having to deal with crappy cheap bulbs or the pain of going LED and finding a spot to mount your resistors.
Total cost was around $37 bucks for the bulbs and (surprisingly fast) shipping from Japan. Hopefully some of my 1st gen V36 brethren will find this useful!

I don’t think you caught the sarcasm with the italicized word, but I can’t say I didn’t try! And what’s even crazier is that I think the writing on the package is actually Chinese and not Japanese, weird.

My sarcasm meter appears to be malfunctioning today

I like the look of those bulbs. Can I ask how much you paid for the change? As for replacing them, did you need to go in through the fender, like the headlamps? I really hate doing that.
On a side note, I have the exact same headlamps that you selected and I am very happy with them. If you are ever looking for LED fog light replacements, I had a set from Amazon that matched up pretty well. Cheap replacements and I have been running them for about 15k miles without issue.

The bulbs themselves cost about $24 USD and the shipping was around $10 USD. As for replacing them, You don't have to go through the fender at all! It took me about 1-2 minutes per side, the turn signal bulb is one of the easier bulbs to get to. I should note that I've got a Stillen Gen 3, so I've got a bit more room to work with, if you've got a stock airbox YMMV.
Thanks for the tip! I actually have the Hella Optilux Hyper Yellow bulbs for the fogs, and short of going 3000k HID, they are pretty darn yellow.

I see you went cheap on the gummy bears.
Black forest gummy's FTW.
I do like your bulbs.
