What did you do to your Sedan today?
Its not really surprising considering you can get one for under 10k now. They have gotten too cheap...
I think a girl is unlikely to wreck the car due to "The Fever", instead she'll be texting or driving into deep water "because I just HAVE to get home".
The Akebonos are adequate for the track until the pads get thin. I can't speak for the Journey brakes. I like the Hawk 5.0 but will try something else after these go, maybe Project Mu.

Anything else blacked out? I have a Blue Slate sedan as well and am thinking about blacking the window trim and grill inserts. Did the roof on my Accord however I think it would be a lot of work with minimal impact on this car.
Love the chin spoiler on your car!

The shadow chrome is the only thing I have done as far as darkening. I'm hesitant to get into too much chrome delete for fear of not really liking the finished product IMO the chrome accents the blue slate pretty well and not sure black would be an improvement so scared to start that. I did the grille bc it's just kind of plain OEM and I figured if I screwed it up I could order the midnight black grille of just gloss black the whole thing.
What I really need to do is drop it just a little
At my track day today, 3rd session. VSC light came on solid, next corner it spun and I couldn't correct it. Grazed an inside wall with both ends.
Overall the G did surprisingly OK. It was pretty hot out, but temps stayed cool, brakes stayed strong. Only bugaboo was the damn 7AT, which was really fighting me during the 2nd session. Oh and for this track at least Tein Basis Zs are way way way too soft. I'd be scared to run bigger sways as the shocks can barely handle the coilover springs and shocks as is. Track ready G needs like 600/500lb springs, good shocks, and probably the widest tires you can fit out back. VSC was cutting in the whole time.
I think once I get it fixed I'm going to sell the G for a crossover or something and keep my speed outlets to karting and sim racing. I think I have run through my luck reserves between this and my motorcycle.

Interesting. Well, at least its not totalled. Still a shame
And yeah, Ive heard about the 7AT having serious overheating issues on the track. Some people go as far as saying don't waste time on track time without a transmission cooler. I've yet to take my car out, but feel like its not ready for anything that regular backroads cant provide.

Wow, sorry you had a tough time. It's the risk we take, though. I am running just one more event to see how my G behaves with coil-overs then I get my Miata running again. That'll be my track toy.
Thanks! Definitely gives a more aggressive look with the chin spoiler.

Toughest lesson learned.... for the love of God, if you track something, get track day insurance for the car and yourself. I was offered it but in the frenzy didn't bother. I'm sure it was a lot less than what I'm in for.

Damn, sorry to hear about this, at least you're ok!
So this will be an out of pocket expense? That's rough, front and rear damage is going to add up
