Man, it would look so much better of all that were tucked into the fender, on the other side of the rubber weather channels. But I don't think you can do it without cutting, and that seems crazy. It is crazy, isn't it?
There's one large wire harness on the right, and 3 on the left which go into two openings at the passenger side strut tower.

It's a different design. They first appeared on the '15 GT-R. I will say this...I think the dotted LED rings are iconic for Infiniti on the G as well as Nissan on the GT-R.
For the most part, when you see those double LED tails from the rear at night, you know what you're rolling up on *almost*. It's either an G35 Coupe, G35/7 Sedan, or a GT-R (when they're just way larger than the Infiniti version). Save for Dodge or Chrysler who shamelessly ripped off the design for one of their models.
I've rolled up on a car at night before, thinking it's a G and then when I get closer, I'm like pffft...meh, it's just a Dodge unimaginative hack copycat design.
So...I've already thought about it in my mind. If I were to buy a '15 GT-R, I would find someone with a '14 to trade tail lights with. I'm not feeling the continuous ring, because iconic tail lamp needs to be there.

My theory is this, if it didn't come from the factory, neither will I get one installed, I have worked at dealerships and have seen very weird things happening with cars that had aftermarket remote starts installed, like for example windshield wipers operating, when there was no key in the ignition at the time and the techs at some point didn't know what to do. IDK what happened later.
So as much as it might be the best thing ever to have a remote start, I wouldn't get one, for that reason and also that it's quite more challenging and difficult to get it installed on a 6MT.

haha guess why I'm keeping a pair of gloves under my seat at all times

It's it's connected via Bluetooth to the car and I'm listening to music, the music shuts off and it says incoming call...when the only thing incoming was a text and it happens every time there's an incoming text.. WTF Apple? You guys really buggered the pooch on that one.
I am seriously considering switching to a Galaxy S5. I've about had enough with Apple's crappy software upgrades which turn out to be downgrades.
It's a different model that I'm thinking of-- it has the double LED rings on each side. Intrepid maybe? I don't know. It may be a model that's 2-3 years old. To me, cars in that segment all just meld together as models that were produced in board meetings that went something like this:
Well, we need a car in this segment, so quick, glom a design together for the exterior so we can sell this poo pirate!
Obviously an over simplification. LOL

Haha! I stand corrected, sir!
I was thinking V36 only when referencing the sedan and the '03-'06 slipped my mind...good catch!
I agree with you on the wires...it would be nice to tuck them to the fender side of the FSTB. With my old one, I was able to weasel the FTSB under those wires because the design I had wasn't as wide as the GT-Spec. It was a super tight fit though.

I've been thinking about getting a remote starter for the past couple of weeks, especially with the temperatures hanging around the mid 20s, but I'm kind of worried about what Mike said. I don't want my turn signals to come on every time I brake or even worse... Miley Cyrus to come on the radio every time I make a left turn. I remember on the Optima forums it was a huge discussion that it was nearly impossible at the time to have a remote starter installed on a vehicle with push button start, and for those who were able to do it it was a difficult install. I'd like to do it, and still may do it, but only if it can be tied into our oem remotes or if I could get one of these programmed to our cars to work.

I think that Viper has a unit that can be run off a Viper fob or the OEM fob, not certain though. I ran a Viper in my Monte Carlo and TrailBlazer with no issues. Then again, I listen to Miley Cyrus all the time so maybe I just didn't notice? It was on my short list of things to do but that list has gotten progressively longer so I'm not certain when that will get done.
The more often I saying I'm done modding the more I would like to do. To the point that I may have to buy a daily to get everything done. I really think I'd be better off selling the car sometimes.
Hey John, did you get your inspiration for your engine cover from a 7th gen Maxima? :P

And this Merc here is so-o-o hot. Particularly in that matte finish with yellow calipers.
