The HFC's will definitely give you a boost in sound which I love. However, I do not love the hiss on decel and I'm contemplating switching everything out. Someone talk me off the ledge.

PLS... you're overthinking it... Enjoy the FI CBE with RHFC for what it is and don't try to dig for an issue that isn't really there !

Unless you are 90% deaf then you have no idea what you are talking about. Here's a vid just to show you how much you I am over thinking it..........

http://vid229.photobucket.com/albums...ps7yem8jui.mp4

The hiss is fkign annoying, period.

I've been told there is no way around this yet I've seen vids with people having HFC's and not having anywhere near level of "decel hiss" sound that mine does. Yes, I know this is due to our wonderful VQ engine but sadly fast intentions does not make a catback this is loud enough for my taste. The HFC's were suppose to solve that problem (and in volume alone they mostly did) but I got a different kind of loudness in hiss form that I just don't know if I can live with. Time will tell as I'm not too keen on just scrapping something I waited 4 months total to get.

With that said, I can't argue with the seat of the pants feel I get from the cats/exhaust combo and if the hiss was just a little bit less I wouldn't think twice due to this fact.

Hmm interesting.. I have no idea what I'm talking about... suuuuure...

Guess what?! I have the same decel hiss noise and I DON'T BITCH about it.

You said it yourself, it's typical for our VQ engines, and I don't know or get why it bothers you so much, it only is noticeable when you rev it so what is the big deal?!

I deal with it no problem, Chris does too I'm sure as well as many other people, just the way things are, and that's one of them with a VQ.

are these RHFCs or HFCs?

Only noticeable when I rev it.............. Hey chief, how about when the car decelerates every time you drive? You know, the part when you accelerate then come to a stop practically 100 times a day. Yeah, because that's not noticeable. Also, if you hold the rpm's between 1.5 and 2k while driving the hiss actually just stays there until you drop or raise the rpm's because that's where the sweet spot is. But hey, you keep on not bitching about your noise because you obviously don't care if you sound like a a salt shaker/stuck brake pad.

P.S, HFC's but before you go on a rampage about how I got the wrong cats, twin snails hiss with RHFC's sounds almost exactly like mine..............

Lmaooo somebody had a bad day hahahaha cracking me up. I think we have another very ****, excessively detailed, picky "John" in here LOL.

Of course no offense to You John C.

And no to answer you're question, the issue you're describing, is non existent or not noticeable to me other than when revving. Oh too bad. We don't always get exactly what we want, now do we?

I say, get over it bud. You wanted to be talked out of it. Well do what you please.

Oh lookie here, you decide to go after my "internet" temperament rather than debunk my statement.

With that said, people can either live with the sound or not. I'm just here answering a fellow G owners question and hopefully they have the right info to make a decision that suits their needs.

I can't see how you don't hear the sound driving around (try rolling down your windows) but if you for some reason you don't hear it then that's supports my ranting even more having a different setup than me.

Actually that was sent by a mistake before I was done typing my post which I was and am typing on my smartphone, so I edited it before your post.

I don't, or maybe I do but it's barely noticeable and the fact I had gotten used to it, especially since it's a typical sound for VQs, but not something that other people will notice right away, nor something that will make me lose sleep over it or bug me the f*ck out....I would like if it wasn't there, but it is, and can't really be much done about it, that'd be worth it, unless I decide to just go back to the OEM exhaust, which won't happen untold I'll be selling my car....I'm positive it's most likely just you, probably just letting it into your head too much haha.

Nope, my coworkers give me **** about it all the time and trust me, anybody with their window down or just being outside will hear that hiss no problem (ever heard it in a parking garage ). Yeah, maybe the sound is inherent to our VQ's but then why do some setups not suffer the same fate? For instance below.......

Does Berk make an exhaust for G's........ because that sounds great.

Alright. Enough is enough.

With all due respect Aroundtheg37, a lot of us are kind of getting tired of reading you complain about the hiss. If it's really that bad then do something about it. If you can't afford to buy another exhaust part then put your oem cbe back on till you can afford to get it fixed. Seriously. It seems like every post I read from you is you complaining about the hiss. I understand it's annoying. Belive me I have problems with my own exhaust. I've posted about it and no one knows how to fix it so I've moved on to finding my own solution. I'm asking politely to move on to another subject, both you and Mike. I've said my peace and will not say anything else about it.

Wow, that was fun.

On a different note, my ARC catch can shipped today. Would it be today if today in Japan was yesterday here? Anyway, I'm excited!
