Let me make it easier since you missed the point. Would you rather own the concept or the production car?... if you choose the later.. you're in a very small group.

I'll bite my tounge. My mother told me to respect my elders.

Maybe we should debate something less controversial than to-mod or not-to-mod......how about......the merits of Chaney running for president?

Bottom line folks.... there are no rules. If you are happy with what you have, that's all that matters.

Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated... sooner or later you WILL mod your car. You know you want that white peach JDM air freshener... that's where it will start. Then comes the Tint and leather squishy steering wheel cover... oh we need all weather mats..., damn this stereo needs base..., I want my lights to look white..., time for new treads, lets +1. That front wheel gap is starting to annoy me, Ewww that GTM Tubo kit looks HOT honey, what do you think? That will breath new life into the o'l girl.

OMG, don't show that car yet.. it's not finished. Grille comes in next week hopefully . I've suffered a year and a half with that ugly sedan looking grille hoping for a better kit.. can't wait to loose it.

I agree with you. But, the OP is not saying any modifications, he is meaning certain, over the top, ricerish modifications.

There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to tint your windows, a tasteful sounding exhaust that is reasonably quite, or some wheels that are delicately picked out.

Buuuuttt, when you put 10% percent tint all the way around, exhaust so loud and obnoxious it could wake the dead, and 24 inch rims with crazy offsets and 6 degrees of negative camber, the car so slammed you can't go over a pop rock, LOOK AT ME Sho-Gun body kit and a 3 person bench wing/spoiler/hang glider on the back, IMO is ridiculous, and I think that's what he is saying as well.

Absolutely agree. It's ALL an opinion, and the OP is giving his, and everybody is flaming him. He could have said it in a more mature manner, but I tend to agree with him. A $40K car looks ghey riced out IMO.

At the end of the day, whatever anybody wants to do to their car, I say go for it. But, be prepared for opinions without getting butt hurt about the situation. At the end of the day, the majority of the population looks at a riced out car and thinks how silly it looks, and starved for attention the owner must be. But, kudo's for the "owner" for doing what he likes, because, it is JUST opinions.

True, there are young padawans usually that have crossed over to the dark side, but then that's what's cool in their click. I'm always game for a laugh and can thank them at least for that. Force be with them and the San Francisco treatment.

As a card caring member of the G37 Change Advisory Board I'd just like to make it clear that the previous statement is not endorsed or condoned by the G37CAB and were merely my own personal beliefs. These beliefs however do not extend to approval of such modifications as sanctioned G37CAB modifications. Adherence to mature modifications that are generally accepted by the majority of the community is our goal.
