Just a thought...input appreciated
OP,
Based on your feeling of the car- I don't understand why you would own it. You are not impressed with your own car which I would assume is stock, and you are not impressed by the modded ones.
With that said- It may be probable that you are just trolling and don’t really own a G37 at all.
With regard to the opinion that some mods are over the top- yes I would agree with that- but that is only my opinion. I think that posting a thread on the matter does nothing to change anyone’s thoughts on it though. It only serves the purpose of stirring the pot which you have successfully done and have not participated in the discussion since.

Don’t start believing that the whole world of G37 owners is like the mainstream on this forum. I would estimate that around 90% of G’s in the real world are stock. If true, it would require too many signs. At any rate, I would glad to put such a sign on my car; but I would have to remove my Penn State and AOPA stickers, so I don't know.

I don't know the threads been quite entertaining. I respect the OP's position and ya there are mods I wouldn't like, but I also respect their individuality and don't feel my car's degraded by their choices... I guess that's where I'd really differ from the OP.
Oh I don't, and that's the wonderful thing that seprates us from the stockies. Honestly in my book a stock car isn't finsihed. Just look at the difference between concept and production.. they had class they just couldn't produce it in bulk at the target price. We can rebuild her though.. we have the technology... and cash. We'll make her better, faster and cooler. Da da de da...
Of course it’s finished. That’s why most owners enjoy them as is. Otherwise, the manufacturer would sell us a car that has been painted only with primer, would have no rims, no audio system, with your salesman showing you samples of exterior and interior colors, engine options, pictures of body kits, etc. Hmm, maybe that’s a good idea for some of you.

I saw this once on TV: When you buy a Maybach, you book an appointment with a specially trained advisor who will give you real samples of every trim available to see and feel, and show you a 3D simulation of the car (interior and exterior) on a giant screen as they help you configure every option available. If you really want, you can also set up an appointment at their headquarters and talk to their designers and engineers.
The only down side is, one of those start at around $350k.
wow starting to get hot in here eh?
