I might as well jump in here too.

It is certainly agreed that anyone can mod their car as they wish. But some of us, who think various mods are can be tasteless, believe we’re affected by another’s style in that it somehow is a refection on all G37 owners, including ourselves. We don’t want to be associated with anyone who we think has riced out their car. But somehow, being a fellow owner, are forced to be, in the eyes of an outside observer, the same kind of person.

Perhaps the alleged ricer can be persuaded to put a disclaimer sign on their back window, saying:

The mods on this car are in no way a reflection on other G37 drivers, and they take no responsibility for this owner’s taste or lack there of.

Should've bought a Buggati as well.

That thread was posted on several different car/bike forums (including myg37) and people speculated that it was a way for IB or other forum to generate traffic.

Let me ALSO add I'm not bashing honda's as they are what got me into cars. I've had 2 94 GSR's, 2001 Type R, and an 03 accord V6 mt. It's NOT the car that's ricey, it's what people do to them. We have this thing called free will, and when people do things to their car/house/whater that other people don't like, they get all butt hurt. SO WHAT, if you like it, that's all that matters but don't bash somebody because they don't agree with you.

That is all, have a nice day!!

I'm also not saying majority rules in this situation. I'm saying that I DO AGREE with the OP that distastefully modding a car such as the G37 is not looked at positively by a lot of people. Whether that bothers you are not is up to the individual.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by your "useless info" you added in the last post. I'm not sure if this is a "My **** is bigger than yours" post, but here is some "useless info" about my weekend warrior in case we are playing that game of charades.

Im thinking you aren't understanding my intentions and vice versa. I had understood you to mean that an "opinion" has more or less validity depending on the % of people who agree/disagree with said opinion. My only point was that the entire topic has nothing to do with a majority rules mindset. Nothing more.

As for the whole whose kack is bigger thing... I was simply adding info on the car I mentioned for shytes and giggles. My "useless information" statement was poking fun at the fact that I figured no one really cares about my other cars or what they have done to them/do at the track.

Whats more, that was built as a daily driver/auto-x car. If I had bothered to build the motor for FI instead of NA you can bet that there would be faster track times... then again I really dont see the point of trying to build a FWD drag car. FWD traction FTL! ...and on a related note, I really dont see the difference between modifying a Civic or a G37... or a Bentley for that matter. What people do is what people do, and I really could care less what car it is or what they do to it.

That being said, Id hope you would see 11s running an HKS GT30R turbo in a 2600lb, RWD vehicle! Well have to see what I manage after swapping out the stock Toyota CT20B turbo in my deuce for a TD06 (I've got it sitting in my garage, I just dont have time to do the install)... of course the peg-leg open diff starts aren't helping, heh.

BTW is that a stock internaled (minus the aftermarket cams) KA?

I think that it should should only be on stock cars....not the modded ones.

No harm no foul man. It's hard to convey tone and conviction through the internet. I think we were just on the wrong page but essentially agree for the most part.

I hear you on the FWD projects. Once I started fiddling around my first 240 5 or so years ago, I FINALLY realized that RWD is where it's at. Lol. I was a honda lover and FWD defender until then!! Now all three cars I won are RWD. HAHA!

its funny how people reinforce his statements by responding like immature kids. no one on here can honestly say they like every car. so be it. some people have lower tolerances than others, some people enjoy wilder cars. in the end, enjoy what you drive and keep having fun. no need to respond with hostility to one persons opinion. if you cant handle criticism, you shouldnt be on the internet.
