My RB Project, going all in!
Speedfreak, thanks for joining the forum just to post your concerns with my build, it truly says something
The oil catch can has a breather pipe that is not visible in the pic, I'll try and get a picture later on to show you. My mechanic said the oil leak up front had to do with crank collar clearances but has been dealt with now! That's a monstrous R32 you got yourself there man! Loving the RWD conversion

For a quick reference... If you have an iPhone or Android, download a GPS speedometer. I didn't have a speedometer on my truck for almost a year because the sensor went out. I used this until I knew how fast I was going based on RPMs.
It seemed to be off by maybe 1 or 2 MPH. And yes... you can convert to KPH

Staples I tried your app on the highway today, the difference was always 3 mph more on my speedo (whether at 20 mph or 120 mph) which I believe is normal. Had it been a percentage difference the I would've been in trouble. Hitting the speed limit (87mph) in 2nd is no fun I have to admit lol
Was aiming for 4.36 but they're on back order so I figured I'd try the 4.08's and see how they do. 4.08's will offer a 10% decrease in speed/increase in torque. Hope that will be enough. I have a weird feeling though that my 5AT did not come with a 3.692 but rather a 3.357 diff ratio.
Hi Sam,
Try this by yourself:
1. Take a piece of tape or a marker and mark your rear tire right at the bottom center.
2. Climb under and mark/tape your driveshaft. Anywhere, but remember it's position.
3. Drive the car forward EXACTLY one tire revolution.
4. climb under and see where the DS rotation point is. It's going to be somewhere beyond your starting position (3.0:1) going to four turns (4.0:1).
It will be a rough guess, but certainly one third farther rotation (3.35:1) will be easy to spot than 2/3rds (3.69:1). I'm as curious as you.

Been a while since I updated this thread, cars running beautifully *knock on wood*, still a few things that need to be resolved.
1) Gears are too tall.
Ordered a 4.083:1 Ring & Pinion from a Frontier (thanks to Black Betty for hooking me up) and some Whiteline Bushings (since mine are busted). Hope it will be enough. The frontier also has a 4.363:1 option if need be.
2) Shifter is hitting against center console on 2nd & 4th gear shifts.
Trimmed the OEM wood trim completely but it's still rubbing. I finally found a Nismo Short Throw Shifter that will work with my Pull Type Transmission. That should hopefully solve my problem.
3) My digital gauge needs a nice mounting location. CarbonSignal is currently fabricating something for me to go on the A-Pillar, pretty stoked about it.
4) I'm working on getting my OEM Tacho to work, dug up some Nissan files and will be getting my hands dirty with my next oil change.
5) The engine feels like its running out of breath at high rev's. Tomei Cams and a turbo upgrade are sure next on my list! Summer's right around the corner though so back to low boost settings.

Glad it's really coming along nicely.
