Thanks man!

The G fired up nicely today, need to find me a decent alternator though. The fans are also starting when I switch the car on which puts more load on the battery making starting the engine even more difficult. The fan motor relays will be re-wired to the ECU tomorrow.

I also bought a cheap tachometer to keep an eye on things while I find a way to get the OEM Tacho to work. Might have to take the dashboard apart.

For those wondering, I have been driving the **** out of my car over the past 24 hours. Put almost 250 miles in less than 24 hours and man!! what a monster. Had it locked at 4k rpm and 5 psi boost. Man I can't wait to get her tuned! The sound of the turbo as it starts spooling is just eargasmic.. followed by Tial's BOV whoosh.. honestly just makes all the time, money & stress worth it.

Wish I could say the same for my neighbour though. I got home late at night and parallel parked into a tight spot (lots of back and forth on a heavy clutch that requires revving past 2k rpm to get it moving). A guy I never met wearing nothing but a towel pops out of nowhere and starts yelling at me: "Look man, it's a nice car and it sounds effing awesome, I too was young once but now I have two kids, must you make all that noise".

So I went home and ordered me one of those

Way to go, Sam! This thread has been a nice long novel. I've enjoyed every page.

So far a satisfying closing. Final numbers will bring a round of applause!

I love the lo-tech and brilliant exhaust workaround. Neighbors: Can't live with them, can't shoot them.

Staying posted.

Congrats!! Keep us posted on your findings.

I am going later on today for an oil change & inspection. Then I'll break her in for another 1000 kms, then we go for a low boost tune. I won't open her up at once, so I'll probably start with the wastegate spring pressure for a while (1 bar ). Get the engine to get used to that for another 5-10k kms. Then we take our lovely 98 RON fuel to its limits!

Sure can't! I went and spoke to him again today, very cool dude, complemented the ride and said he was just cranky.

Coop I'd start worrying about your 1/4 mile record if I were you

Car is running beautifully. Only problem is starting it. Sometimes it starts from the first time, other times I have to crank it a few times before it starts.

One sick G, that engine bay screams power, RB/godzilla can handle some heavy boost. Cant wait to see a video after you get her dialed in.

Everything looks amazing! Bet it's a blast to drive. I like the attention to detail on the roadside bomb for the interior!! Very authentic!!

I joke, I joke.
