Bummer
I guess it's "no pain, no gain" hopefully just a front fender roll will get you there, that's a pretty simple deal.

Thanks!
A 245/45/18 is the best size for that wheel/offset, I think you'll be happy w/ that setup.

With the 9.5 +30s you'll have to run a 265 max width if you want to keep camber in spec. and even then the wheel edge will be poking quite a bit.
Here's my current setup

I love your setup and would like to have switched to 18s for the cheaper tires but I could not justify the money for those wheels. I got the Rays for 800 shipped from a refinishing company so they were like new. Hard to beat that for forged 19s.

They are so much lighter than the stock wheels--I swear my car feels more responsive.

Always had a sweet spot for those 19" Rays, and you're spot-on, can't beat the weight, strength, and quality for the price. And that style still holds up well over time, saw some bronze painted Rays on an older 35 and they looked awesome!

Is ChinkyChoy still around? Does anyone know if I will have to roll my fenders to run 19x9.5 +25 up front on a sedan, lowered to about ~26.25"?

Finally got them on.

ESR SR07, 19x9.5 +35 - 10 from a spacer/+35... these do NOT clear the BBK up front; as is I have like 2-3mm of clearance. Tires are 255/40 Continental DWS06s.

Yea, it was a real adventure. I like the tire size, and I think the wheel size is OK, but a +35 or even +40 offset would have been perfect. +25 is too much. It does seem like my front fenders clear, which is the main thing. I'm gonna check clearance more thoroughly with some masking tape inside the fender.... if there's contact the tire will chew it up.

That looks amazing to me! I looked at those wheels in Matte bronze. You may make me go ahead and get them. Nice and meaty and aggressive.

I would not go 9.5 all around if you have Akebonos up front. It's very borderline. Looking back at it, I probably should have went 8.5 all around. 255s would still work.

But thanks

I will need new front tires soon. I am so tempted to get a pair of rear duck feet and move the original rears to the front. I am looking at other options as well. I found some new Michelin MXM4s in 245/45/18 that I probably can get the guy down to 400 for the set. It can't be any worse than the Hankook Ventus Nobile's which are horrible in the rain. Ideally I want Summer tires.

That setup will be around 700 installed. I have been told that the rears would fit on the front. I am also looking at some other wheels. One I have found is 18x8.5 with +35. They are 21.4 lbs each, so not too shabby. I don't necessarily want to go 19s, but I might. I would love to have the duck feet painted black, not a bad look. I am still looking since I have other priorities, sometimes patience is your friend.

Those Vardovens are a Kiwami knockoff, IIRC they have a 18x9.5 +35 that would work w/ a slight stretch on the 245s, didn't know they had them in an 8.5" though.

Yeah, unfortunately. I did find some 19x8 G35 Rays, they need to probably been completely repainted. They might look nice in a dark grey or black.

There's a nice staggered 19" Rays set in the classifieds (if they're still available).

Those are nice, the ones I am looking at are about 60 miles away. They claim that they are a 19x8 setup, perhaps two pair of front wheels. I would prefer 18x8.5, the temptation is that they will fit w/o centering rings. I had a car where supposedly centering rings were available and had a vibration some of the time. I know that if I get aftermarket wheels, they will need to have centering rings. I wonder what will look good on my NAK painted car. I think perhaps gray seconded by Black. I found some Motegi Racing with tires, but the offset is 45mm and I don't think that would work with the front wheels.

Mixed feelings,

Hello,
Spent a few hours last night reading through the 59 pages. I have a 2013 G37X Sedan, and I’m having mixed feelings, 19x9.5 ET35 255/40/19 squared, would it poke out???

Want to lower it on tein basic coils or eibach springs.

I’m assuming just because they’re 19s they won’t necessarily clear Akebonos and I would have to send the templates to the company correct?

Thank you!
