G37S Coupe
Lowered on Swift springs

I'm looking at 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 in rear.

offset and work for no rubbing?

19x9.5 +30 to +35 running 275/35/19 on the +30 or up to 285/35/19 w/ +35.

Question Reality Check for 18s Plz

I am looking for confirmation on my fitment selection please.

G37 Sedan RWD non-Sport - Stock Suspension - no mods
Not Lowered - May never be lowered
OEM T&W - 225/55/17 - 17x7.5 +45

I have selected wheels sizes of:
18 x 8.5 +35 Front (should be close to flush within 5mm)
18 x 9.5 +45 Rear (seems a +35 will cause the wheels to poke??)

I have two tire size options I am contemplating.

Option 1:
235/50/18 Front
255/45/18 Rear

Option 2:
245/45/18 Front
275/40/18 Rear

Planned tire selection is Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3

I do not want the top of the tire shoulder thread to poke past the fender line. I consider Dragion's fitment / flushness to be perfect to my eye and what I wish to replicate.....only in slightly wider wheels. I am not going for the stretch look, more of a mild square meat lover. Don't want it to rub with fat chicks in the car and not removing the fender liners.

Having a difficult time deciding between the tire sizes. Neither will be as good as the OEM 17s but really want the wider fitment to ride like those smooth 17s.

Option 2 is gold, you'll be about 5mm inside the fender in front, in back you'll be about 8 to 10mm in, you could even run 285s in back w/ that offset at stock height (a 9.5" is the minimum recommended width for a 18" 285 FWIW).

So does the mean its a "no-go" (it pokes) for the rear at +35 offset at stock ride height with the 275 tire?

Would a Swift Spring drop fix that, meaning allow me to run the +35 rear without spacers?

I used Dragion's specs as a visual guide and my measurements but forgot his is G dropped on Switfts.

It's workable, you'll be 10mm further out which would be equivalent to running 295s on the +45 wheel. I'm running 295s on a 10" +45 and am right inside the fender on zero gap drop, so you'd be 5mm in from that which is pretty safe.

Newt,.... GTK think I will play it safe and stick with the +45. Don't know if I will drop it and would hate it if it poked at the stock height! I already scrap getting in and out of my driveway.

Thanks for all the guidance and assurance you provide here. Much appreciated.

BTW, your set-up is perfect and hope your car is repaired to your satisfaction. Regards

I have a question. I just ordered a set of wheels for my 08 Coupe S and the only way to get the rears to clear the brakes was getting them in a +24 offset. I run a 275 rear tire, is it going to look silly? I'm at stock ride height and I'm scared it's going to look ridiculous. It's a 19x10 wheel.

Thanks
My G was repaired about 15 months ago from that T-bone accident and luckily the shop did an incredible job.

Look forward to seeing your install pics, and always best to be safe than sorry regarding offsets

Using our handy tire calculator
https://www.myg37.com/forums/tire_rim_calculator.php
Here's what comes out~
you'll be out 33.7mm or 1.32" from your stock coupe rim/tire. Probably going to poke a bit, might check to be sure w/ a straight edge.

So I have finally got the funds to afford a new set of wheels. I was previously going with the Gram Lights 57Xtreme but I'm now looking at Velgen VMB5.

Velgen VMB5:
19x9 +35
19x10.5 +45

2007 G35 Sedan

I am lowered on Eibach Pro Kits about an inch all around.
How would these fit? And what tire size should I be getting?

@blnewt I know you helped me out before but this was a month or 2 back with different wheels/offsets wondering if you could lend a hand here again. I appreciate any help.

The following tires will give you a pretty flush fit
245/40/19 & 275/35/19 you could run 285/35s in back as well, and then your fit would be about like my 10" +45 running 295s~I have about 3mm to spare

Thanks again, I just placed the order for my wheels and tires. I'll be sure to come back and post an update when they're on the car.

If the wheels I am considering are offered in the following sizes:
20x9 +22 or +32
20x10 +25 or +45
20x11 +28

What combination of front and rear sizes/offsets would sit the most flush without having to run spacers or stretch tires TOO much?
