So I'm looking for a new set of wheels. I have an 11 Coupe S (Akebono brakes) that is lowered on KW V3s. SPC camber kits front and rear and rear adjustable tow bolts. A wheel company is telling me I can stuff 20x10.5 +28 up front and 10x11.5 +30 in the rear. I feel like this will look great if it actually fits. I'm not one for crazy amounts of camber. I like to drive my car and not worry about massive amounts of camber wear or safety. I'd like the car to take a normal alignment or as close to a normal alignment as possible. Any help is appreciated.

 

I don't foresee a factory alignment with those wheels. Those are some pretty wide and aggressive specs.

 

I have a G37xs sedan and I'm looking at getting 19x9.5 +40 wheels all around. Will a 255/40/19 tire work with the AWD system?

 

Sounds like a fine setup, I see no issues.

 

How would I get a similar setup with 19' G35 Rays. I'm currently on OEM tires specs

 

So can anyone tell me about the widest possible tire size that I won't have to worry about increased potential for hydroplaning? I'm looking to do 19" wheels. Possibly Staggered and looking at 245/40 and 275/35s. But with the low weight (been driving European sedans) I'm curious to know the largest recommended

 

20mm up front, 25-30mm rear

I have a stock 2010 g37x sedan & looking to upgrade to aftermarket wheels. The tire package I'm looking at is as follows, wondering how it would fit from the experts. I'm a noob

245/35-20 /tires 20x8.5 wheels/ 42mm offset / 6.34 backspacing

 

No issues there, but those are pretty weak offsets and widths. Those will fit similar to OEM so if you're lowered they will be very tucked.

 

This^^^and if you don't plan on lowering your G the 20s will really exaggerate the already large fender gap. Offsets in the +35 range would be a better choice as far as fit at the fender.

 

Hi guys, I purchased a set of Rohana RF1 wheels, staggered setup. First time buying wheels!

20x9 front +35 and 20x10 rear +25.

I want these to fit my 2008 G37 Coupe RWD, without having camber or stretched tires. Is it possible? They came with tires and the fronts are currently 255/25/20. I'll definitely be needing new rear tires, though. What tires would you guys recommend me running for the rear? BTW I'm open to replacing the two front tires as well, if that'll help for the sake of fitment & running a good staggered setup with minimal effect on the speedo or traction.

The 255/25/20 would be just a rubber band on the wheel, I've got a feeling that may have been a typing error or you misread the size perhaps.

That said, with those wheel widths and offsets you're going to be tight in back with a standard mount, but a 255/35/20 isn't a bad mount on that wheel. I think I'd run a 235/35/20 front 255/35/20 rear for an easy fit at the fender, or a 265/30 rear for more flush at the back.

If you typed the size wrong and you have 255/35s in front you could switch those to the back and run those 235s I mentioned in front.

 

Blnewt, you're totally right, the tires at the front are 255/45/20! Would this still work if I decide to move these to the rear and purchase new tires for the front? Or is the sidewall too tall?

And just to confirm - if I were to just buy new tires front and rear, the ideal setup would be 235/35/20 front and 265/30/20 rear for a flush fit?

255/45/20 is way too tall. 255/35/20 is the ideal size for a 255 to fit. However I think the ideal size overall would be 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. The sizes you mentioned would be slightly stretched.
