ITB07-048a 08 G37 Coupe Intermittent/short Duration Rpm Increase During Braking

The engine intermittently experiences a small RPM increase (less than 500 RPM) for a short duration during braking.

This is for automatic's only

I tried to upload the PDF, but the size limit is on the forums is set very small so it wouldn't accept it even though it is only just over 300K

Here is a link to the TSB, but you have to be a member of these forums to download the PDF

Click me

Can we get the PDF size limits increase please. The limit set now isn't going to allow most TSB PDF's to be uploaded.

Yes Skyz, if a TSB is out for it then it should be a problem to fix because it is a known problem.

for me it seemed to get better over time (happened less often) but I had them flash it anyways while i was in for an oil change last friday... everything seems fine - go for it if you are having the issue

if they dont know anything about it, tell them to look up the bulletin

I was in today for an oil change and happened to mention it to the service advisor ( who btw still didnt bother telling me about the TSB ). I told him that I hadnt seen the problem in a while so maybe its gone, and lo and behold going home I had to brake after a accelerating hard, and the surge was so bad I thought someone had rear ended me. Looks like I will be getting this fixed next time. Whats involved in the fix?
