ITB07-048a 08 G37 Coupe Intermittent/short Duration Rpm Increase During Braking

The engine intermittently experiences a small RPM increase (less than 500 RPM) for a short duration during braking.

This is for automatic's only

I tried to upload the PDF, but the size limit is on the forums is set very small so it wouldn't accept it even though it is only just over 300K

Here is a link to the TSB, but you have to be a member of these forums to download the PDF

Click me :)

Can we get the PDF size limits increase please. The limit set now isn't going to allow most TSB PDF's to be uploaded.

are there any tsb's worth taking in to the dealership to apply to 6mt's yet??

SkyzDaL1m1T 04-04-2008 11:38 AM

Will the dealership fix this for me? i have the automatic and yeah this happens to mines sometimes...nearly crashed on the freeway once in 101 traffic when my car spurged forward almost hitting the car braking infront of me

bboysteele 04-04-2008 05:48 PM

Yes Skyz, if a TSB is out for it then it should be a problem to fix because it is a known problem.

tmartin316 04-23-2008 11:49 AM

this happens to mine too -- has anyone taken it in to have this fixed yet?

G37SUM! 04-23-2008 01:50 PM

Tmartin yes I have taken mine to the dealership and they flashed the ECM. Problem fixed.

tmartin316 04-23-2008 02:08 PM

that's cool -- im just a little worried that theyll go in to change this and break something else.... hahah

forgive me for being pessimistic but theyve broken other things, so...

Steve2112 04-27-2008 04:18 PM

Mine is in the shop this weekend for this - they had trouble flashing it. Need to come back this Monday.

ohseedee 04-27-2008 07:38 PM

This just happened to me today. Does it get any worse?

tmartin316 04-28-2008 11:19 AM

for me it seemed to get better over time (happened less often) but I had them flash it anyways while i was in for an oil change last friday... everything seems fine - go for it if you are having the issue

if they dont know anything about it, tell them to look up the bulletin

ohseedee 04-29-2008 08:48 PM

They flashed my car today...I just need to pick it up.

tomcatm 05-23-2008 08:44 PM

I was in today for an oil change and happened to mention it to the service advisor ( who btw still didnt bother telling me about the TSB ). I told him that I hadnt seen the problem in a while so maybe its gone, and lo and behold going home I had to brake after a accelerating hard, and the surge was so bad I thought someone had rear ended me. Looks like I will be getting this fixed next time. Whats involved in the fix?

Steve2112 05-23-2008 09:16 PM

They flash the ECU with a new program
