I didn't really give him the gears that much, but since he called it out first I had to make fun of him just a little bit. He's got a pretty good package policy and our provincial insurance has 'no fault' coverage so this incident will cost $100 and some inconvenience. Overall, it's not that big of a deal, I find it funny that he said he was going to do it and then did it.
He bonked into your car pretty hard! Curious to know what the insurance pays to fix the damage. 3-4k?
Next project incoming, adding the SKYLINE badge because my car is slowly pretending to be one.
I will soon over-engineer some sort of method to correctly position the emblem on the trunk cover. I removed the INFINTI emblem about 12 years ago, so while I won’t encounter ghosting, my emblem location reference is long gone…
Here’s a crude mockup of the emblem and my very next project (oval exhaust tips):
My car came with this tall Mishimoto shift ****. While I kind of enjoyed the shape mixed with the short throw of these stock shifters, I don't really enjoy Mishimoto parts. Had this Top Secret **** laying around, but turns out it hit the top of the shift boot and couldn't be installed. Ordered a 2" shifter extension piece on Amazon and now it fits great. Honestly the slightly taller position is welcomed, but you could probably get away with a 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" extension if you just wanted this style of **** to fit.
New coilovers and arms should be showing up this week too, constantly checking my email for shipping notification on that stuff.
Wow I know exhaust is selected for sound, but that looks way better too
Thanks, agreed. The style aspect was definitely part of the decision as well, I'm trying to put together the most exciting streetcar I can while keeping the looks as OEM as possible. Searching for the best mix of fun/comfort.

Yeah the canister styling just isn't for me, at least not on this car and in a dual tip config.
You want it? I'll go see if I truly do still have the thing, and whether or not the mounting tape has maintained all these years. If it has, then I'll double-check to see if it still lines up to the letters on the trunk. And if that's still a go, it's yours. Just drop me some shipping, and I'll see if I can find a box to fit.

there’s a name and **** I haven’t seen in ages (no diddy)
Also did a thing…..was never a big fan of the single exit but was looking for budget friendly while having a great note. Hopefully can install tomorrow

Hang on and let me see what's what.
@STownSaint I located the guide (template, whatever). After all these years, the mounting tape is still secure. I went out to the garage just now to verify fitment and it's still spot on.
It might be overkill, and a straight edge with some painters tape could do just as well. Your call. If this is something you need for your project, it's yours.
